Well made, sturdy power pack. See my comments about plugged-in USB hubs!
A very robust power pack but the charge lights don't give you much confidence. The instructions are not very clear and contain many warnings and caveats that reduce your confidence still further. When my power pack was delivered both green charge lights were on, suggesting it was fully charged. The instructions contained severe warnings about over-charging so I was unsure how to proceed. I telephoned the manufacturers and spoke a very helpful and understanding senior engineer who told me it was OK and won't need charging. After 14 months the two green lights still show a full charge and I have not felt the need to recharge it. And today, after 14 months of the power pack being stored unused in the back of my car, I found myself parked next to a fairly old car with a flat battery. They had failed to jump-start it from another car so I offered to try the power pack. Here was a good test. It had been stored for 14 months with no additional charging and the car started immediately! Finally, note this power pack will only work if there is at least 7 volts remaining in the car battery. If you need a power pack that works on a completely dead battery expect to pay at least ยฃ200.(UPDATE October 2018: Only one charge light illuminated so charged it for 36 hours. The original charge lasted for 26 months (including starting one car). Very impressed.)The power-pack is solid and well made - and most importantly it worked like a dream after 14 months!A final note. Other reviewers claim it is a waste of money because the power pack rapidly loses charge when stored with a USB hub plugged into the cigarette lighter outlet, even though nothing was connected to the hub. This is NOT a fault of the power pack!A USB hub contains a voltage divider circuit (usually with a voltage regulator) to reduce the voltage from 12 volts to 5 volts - the voltage delivered by a USB hub. Voltage divider and regulator circuits always draw continuous low current even when nothing is connected. This will drain the battery within a few days. So please don't blame the power pack! The rule is DON'T store the power pack with anything plugged into the cigarette lighter outlet - especially a USB hub.

Fantastic item, super fast delivery..to:)
bought this cause my last power pack decided to stop working, Since day 1 of getting this Sealey, its been brilliant, came fully charged, I used it on my nephew car, + a friends at work, , used it for my tyre compressor many times, even used it for my TOM TOM while driving the works van for 10+ hours cause there was nowhere to plug it, its not let me down yet, funny thing is not even charged it once yet still has plenty of juice :P So its a bargain, even bought 1 for my nephew for xmas now and recommended it to my customers of mine. Cant go wrong..

Useful and effective car battery booster
Bought this as my daughters car a Peugeot 2.0 HDI diesel stands for a week or so at a time and tends to be difficult to start in cold weather. Purchased this and used it when the car had stood for a couple of weeks and wouldn't turn over. Pleased to say that attached the leads, switched the unit on and car turned over quickly and started without any trouble. Good to have a on/off switch as stops any problems when connecting and disconnecting the leads. The unit seems solidly built and looks like it will last. The two leads are fairly short so you need to stand the unit quite close to the battery and make sure it won't fall over while you start the engine. The instruction manual is a bit wordy but easy to follow. The unit arrived about half charged so needed to be charged before use either from the included mains adapter or from a 12v car power output. As others have said you need to press the battery check switch to see the charge level and then during charging check the level regularly as the charge level does not show until the check button is pressed. This is important to ensure the unit is not overcharged which could not only damage it but also be dangerous. It would be useful to have the level showing constantly while charging. The unit is fully charged when two green lights show.Overall I found easy to use and was very useful and would recommend.

Sealey RS1312HV = absolute waste of money...and cant return it to Amazon now
Sealey RS1312HV RoadStart Emergency Power Pack 12V 900 Peak Amps Hi-Vis, Green/Blackwe have two cars 1st a 1.4 petrol vauxhall and a 2.0 tdi VW ...this pack will not start either.over the lock down period we hadn't used the cars much and I bought this just in case the batteries were low after the cars being parked up for a couple of months .On first use this pack failed to start the 1.4 petrol vauxhall..only just has enough power to slowly turn over the engine 2 revolutions...then no more .And yes the battery indicator on the roadstart pack was showing green.and even worse after turning over our 1.4 petrol for 2 S L O W REVOLUTIONS it was showing red .so recharged it till it showed green again and guess what it managed 3 very slow revolutions ..still no start.and indicator back on the red again...bloomin useless.as for the 2.0 tdi VW it wouldn't turn the engine over once .Thankfully I had some jump start leads and managed to get a friend to let me jump the cars from theirs ..which worked.but if I'd been stuck some where quiet with no passing traffic or friends I'd have been completely stuck.it says 900 peak amps ...I think not more like 9 amps. This Sealey RS1312HV pack is a waste of the ยฃ64 paid for it ...just don't buy one..instead buy a set of jump leads for ยฃ20 and spend the rest on something fun.money is tight at the moment and i'll be trying to return this to Sealey.SO UPDATE TIMETurns out neither Sealey or Amazon are willing to refund me for this useless lump of plastic so I've just thrown away ยฃ64 ...this will make me try another supplier for all my purchases from this day on.Sealey clearly aren't willing to stand by they're product that I suspect they know is poor at best.so its now been a while since I posted this review and I was clearing out my garage the other day .. found the jump pack and the led on the front still came up green when powered on .. did a load test with a lead acid battery tester and it topped out at ...wait for it 55 Amps .. then did a full recharge back to green and got 52 Amps ... so no wonder it wouldn't start either of our cars .. I mean I wasn't expecting 900A as advertised but maybe half that may have been ok ???... anyway as stated before a very underpowered jumpstart pack that sealey never did refund me for despite it failing to work less than a month from original purchase .Cant bring my self to put it in land fill so it's just sits there as reminder to buy a proper tools in the future.

Getting started.
Absolutely spot on. Being a boys toy and second car my sports car does not get the use it should. Being left on the drive for long periods at a time the battery is often left wanting when required. Enter the magic box, when plugged into the auxiliary 12 volt socket for 30 mins the battery becomes invigorated and is brought back to life, life becomes fun again. Having a powerful lamp fitted makes it really useful outside when the sun has departed. Also can be used for running various 12 volt tools, but its primary use as an emergency battery charger/starter cannot be faulted.

Does the Job Well
I left the radio on in my car and as it has a lot of electrics ie roof etc battery went flat and I live in the sticks. So I ordered a new battery but then realised it would not be here for a while so ordered the power pack as well arrived next day one turn and its back on the road did not even have to charge first, ideal and I have a 2lite petrol. Could not get to earth so just earth off engine mount. Great because you can actually connect without turning it on so no sparking etc

Not the best on the market
Good quality case strong and durable takes a long time to charge and will on start one maybe 2 vehicles if lucky on a full charge. Leads could have benefited from being a bit longer. Not for professional use but more the home start if needed.

Great little unit
i read variable reviews on this product but thought i'd give it a try as was very competitively priced - have to say that its been great. i have an old L200 that needs coaxing at times - 2 1/2 litre diesel - this jump starts it no problems. Its slim enough to fit behind double cab seats and easy to carry and use.
