It is a GREAT little vacuum NO DUST left behind as I am allergic to dust and a lot of vacuums leave a residue. **Q: Will it scratch the floor? My current one is plastic with no soft bristles.** A: It will, the bristle is super small and won't last long. I needed a cheap vacuum that worked well. I have owned some very well known and highly regarded brands in the past, but a life change left me in need. I saw this and thought "why not". I feel like I received my money's worth. The suction is fantastic. If you have non-carpeted floors, this thing is terrific. Does not do so well on rugs, especially if you are used to a power-head like I was. I will say that if you have carpet, look elsewhere. The canister and hose seem to be made well enough and I would recommend taking it easy with the cord rewind (it is quite forceful). The wheels and attachments are the shortcomings of this particular vacuum. It rolls, but not so easily as I would like. The attachments are somewhat flimsy, but I am careful. If you are a "bull in the china shop" vacuum-er, I would wager these would not last long. The hose is long enough for me at 5'9", but could stand to be about a foot longer IMHO. If your plan is to use it on the stairs by carrying the canister by the handle, I can tell you that will not work in my experience.
