The cord re tracks into the vacuum there is a button to push to extend out. Warranty I think was for one year . It is a GREAT little vacuum NO DUST left behind as I am allergic to dust and a lot of vacuums leave a residue.

Will it scratch the floor? My current one is plastic with no soft bristles.

It will, the bristle is super small and won't last long. THe back side there's a rubber half an inch and will be broken real soon I'm sure. real cheap materials i should say. when that plastic breaks you will be left with a piece of metal on the bottom which is pretty stupid design. very stupid.look at the pic's section from another customer there's a pic of the bottom piece.

Will this work on wall to wall carpeting? I need something powerful to remove a clothes moth infestation, before the pesticide is applied.

I use it for hardwoods, tile and my cowhide rug and little throw rugs. I personally don’t think it would be very efficient on wall to wall carpet.
