Honeywell Home DC915N Series 9 Portable, Wireless LED Doorbell Chime with Push Button (White)

Had to replace my old mains electric doorbell when it finally gave up so after researching I chose this Honeywell one. The design of both the doorbell and chime box ensures that they both illuminate when activated, the doorbell in red and the chime box (flashing) in blue. (There may be a choice of colours). A menu of different chime sounds and peels are available (which sound a little mechanical) and the volume is loud and clear. Both the doorbell and chime box run on batteries (not supplied) and the option to screw them in place in order to secure them is available as these supplies are included. The chime box is also freestanding, allowing it to be moved for personal convenience. I recommend this Honeywell doorbell as I am very pleased with the result and the Westminster chime is lovely!

Good door bail and loud enough for every room in round of the house but sometime the door button can get stuck and ball will kept go off all the time!

easy to set up, has been working well for several months now. Although we are happy with the sound, it is helpful to have the flashing light, if for example you are playing loud music. Easy to move around the building if needed. Very happy with this product.

We liked the idea of having an doorbell system that was portable, and this item was a good choice.Aesthetically the clean & modern look is very pleasing, and it provides good functionality. However, the instructions are terrible and it took a bit of head-scratching to get it set up.Overall, nice item and would have given it 4 stars if the instructions were better.

Bought this for a relative who is hard of hearing. Very easy to fix and install- done in five minutes! Volume can be increased to a good level, and with the flashing light as a second indicator of someone at the door!, it really ticks all the boxes. My only gripe is that the doorbell doesn't come with batteries included and as I wanted to get it up and working immediately, it was a little frustrating. Top tip....buy 4 C batteries before it arrives!

When opened it became clear that this was a 'returned' product. The plastic bag containing the screws had been opened and the long screws for the chime were missing as were the rawlplugs. The instructions had been folded differently. The battery had been inserted into the bell push. Maybe the company which supplied the item should, upon return, actually check that the items are intact before sending it out again.

I am a double hearing aid user and found this doorbell not much use.The max volume is 90db but I could not hear it unless in the same room.The 'chimes' and tunes do not play for long enough to get your attention.There is also a lag between pressing the bell and the chimes starting,the postman can be halfway down the road before I get to the door!The instructions that came with it were next to useless and ended up trawling the Internet to find out how to use it.Given this is recommended for the deaf and hard of hearing I was very disappointed.Having lived with this doorbell for a while I have now upped the stars to 5!New hearing aids mean that the sound is now just right!

Very, very disappointing. The doorbell itself is fine but the bellpush only works, maybe, 6 out of 10 pushes. I rand Honeywell and described the symptoms. They told me the problem was definitely the bellpush. I obtained a replacement but it was no better. I am sending the original kit and the replacement bellpush back for a full refund. This equipment is not fit for purpose and should be removed from the market until it is.
