## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can you print on this product with a laser printer?**
A: Yes, you can use this with a laser printer. I apply 3 small pieces of tape to the leading edge of the paper to make sure the backing doesn’t get caught as it moves through the printer.

**Q: Would this be ok for machined applique for quilting?**
A: I wouldn't.  I'm an experienced quilter and work in a quilt shop.  For general machine Applique I would recommend Pellon wonder under (not heavy duty), misty fuse or steam a seam.  It is a little less gummy for your needle and far less expensive.  I use this to transfer hand embroidery designs onto fabric with my printer or copier.  Good product but not right for what you are going to do in my humble opinion.  Have fun!

**Q: I want to draw a design on this. Do I draw on the rough or smooth side?**
A: Draw your design on a piece of printer paper and then copy your design on the Sulky with your printer. Make sure to orient the Sulky so it prints on the rough side then peel the backing off and place it on your fabric. This stuff is amazing! When you finish embroidering your design, the Sulky will dissolve in warm water. I usually use hotter than warm water...it seems to work better. You may need to wash it more than once, but it works really well. I love this stuff! I don't even use a hoop to embroider as it stabilizes the fabric very well.

**Q: Can you see the cross stitch holes through this paper?**
A: I printed the pattern onto the paper then stuck the paper onto my fabric but I was using cotton so counting stitches would have been a pain.  However it is fairly thin so you can probably see through if you need to count stitches.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked well with my Inkjet printer

This was very easy to print on - you just need to make sure that you change the paper size before creating the document with images that you wish to print. I printed multiple small patterns on each sheet so far and have cut them out with no issue. The ink did not bleed, although I did change the transparency to either 50% or 20% - any more than that and the images become almost invisible. It washed off very easily under warm water. If creating a hoop with lots of detail (lots of satin stitch), I would suggest using a plastic hoop, rinsing the stabiliser off whilst in the hoop and allow it to dry in the hoop. I tried rinsing after taking my embroidery out of the hoop and the material warped and I couldn't get it back to shape with the tight satin stitch. Otherwise, this has been excellent for transferring intricate designs onto my material. A lightbox and a heat erase pen were not good enough at times.
