Guardian Angel 40g (Sick Bird Supplement) - The Birdcare Company

I found one of my 23 year old cockatiels sitting on the bottom of its cage, sleeping, which is not somewhere he usually sleeps, so I knew “something” was wrong, or that being so old, maybe it was his time to fly over the rainbow bridge! It’s not easy to know what’s going on with birds, so I kept an eye on him, to see if things changed. When they didn’t, I got some Guardian Angel and gave him some made up in water as per the instructions, via a syringe a few times a day, giving it in tiny doses, (because tiels don’t intake loads of water in one go) to keep him hydrated. He did eat a little and I gave him all his favourites, figuring that to keep him going was better than restricting his intake of “treats”. Did this for a couple of days with the Guardian Angel and he began to sleep where he normally does and began to move around as normal and was eating his regular food. I have no idea what had made him unwell, but I do definitely feel that Guardian Angel helped, a lot!

Brilliant product, I gave it to my new sick canary and within a few hours he's very lively, I'd definitely get this product again as it works miracles

Good for birds

Just sprinkle a pinch per bird daily on food if they're sleeping in the day too much and fluffed up, looking unwell. It's the aid until you can, if near one, get them to an emergency AVIAN vet appointment. Parrot Essentials website lists avian vets.

This is my first time using this, and I don't know if it still works on my budgie. Whenever I take something powdered, I pass it through a strainer, because there is always garbage that needs to be removed, and to be sure is nothing organic.

I don't tend to write reviews but this product is amazing. Our budgie started tail bobbing about 3 weeks ago and gradually got worst and just looked very unhappy and not healthy didn't want to fly or sing. We initially thought it might be hormones as they are both young birds and looked like they are females and they did bickered a bit at the time. As Kiki was getting worst and they are not hand tame I thought rather than the stress of taking it to the wets we try this first. After a week what a difference! As it turned out in past two weeks they are not and girl and Kiki (boy) after a week of having this wonder elixir is happier than ever tail bobbing stopped he started flying arround the house again and just came back to his old cheerful self. It is amazing! We think he may have been deficient as they don't like fruit of vedge they feed on seeds mainly. We could not believe how much it helped in short space of time. It is truly amazing!

Ordered this product several times does a good job on my day old chicks.
