No. There is, as I remember, a snap on accessory that allows tripod mounting but no socket in the original camera

I have an original still in box and manuals but dont kbiw how to use it....how can mine get refurbushed?

You may not need to have it refurbished if it is still unused in the box. Buy a pack of Polaroid Originals SX-70 film and take a few pictures. The battery for this camera is actually in EVERY film packet, so there are no batteries in your camera at all that might have degraded over the years. If the sample packet of film doesn't work correctly then you could consider having Polaroid Originals refurb your camera so (more easily) use a well-reviewed third-party refurb or camera repair person. There are plenty of them.

My daughter wants a polaroid camera and film.  sh.e is working on digitally creating pictures by photoshopping etc. she is a total beginner. help?

Help her by giving her open-source software.  Film is fun.  Buy her an Epson V500 or V600 film scanner and software called "VueScan", at Hamrick.com    Also it wont cost you much to download photo software called GIMP at gimp.org and also there is open source (free) software called Darktable, RawTherapee, and Digikam and Krita.   All of this software is free.  It works with PC, Mac, and Linux.   Download some software called linux.  It is a fantastic operating system if you have an old PC in your house, you can load Linux software on it... and give her a whole photography set up for almost no money.  MXLinux is fantastic.   Go on youtube and search about MXLinux or Linux Mint.   Take care.
