Review: Great product, shame about the packaging - The product itself is brilliant, especially for cooking chicken. I have one and was ordering another as a gift for my niece. The packaging/delivery was disastrous, however, and I've twice had to return due to breakage in transit. This is a clay pot and there wasn't even any padding between and around the base and lid, so no wonder it got damaged in transit. I'm really disappointed and reluctant to try again.

**Q: Do I have to soak this prior to use and if so, for how long?**
A: Up to 20 mins

**Q: Would the crackling on pork be crispy**
A: Unlikely unless you uncover and cook ope until crisp. Not normally a success

**Q: Is it good for baking sourdough bread?**
A: Yes, I have made all sorts of bread in mine and gives each loaf a beautiful crust. Remember though, it should be soaked for around 15 minutes in water before going into the oven to heat up. After that, you can transfer your dough to the clay pot. I get the best results cooking for half an hour with the lid on and then fifteen minutes with the lid off.

**Q: Can i cook in the oven rice beef or fish also? Also, how long it normally takes to cook dish e.g. Chicken, in the oven? How to use it safely?**
A: I have never cooked rice in it, but I cook all my joints of meat in it, I like to cook on low and leave it in for as long as possible, it comes out so tender! I also do casseroles too.

I bought this to cook a whole chicken because I'd read how good clay pots are. Well, I've never tasted chicken so moist and wonderful! My grandson says it's the best chicken ever! I have cooked fish in it also and that turned out so good too. If you're looking for a clay pot then I would definitely recommend this make.
