Römertopf The standard Roman Pot (classic), 2500 ml

The product itself is brilliant, especially for cooking chicken. I have one and was ordering another as a gift for my niece. The packaging/delivery was disastrous, however, and I've twice had to return due to breakage in transit. This is a clay pot and there wasn't even any padding between and around the base and lid, so no wonder it got damaged in transit. I'm really disappointed and reluctant to try again.

Seems to be high quality. Delivery was quick. Price was better than high street. I’m happy.

I bought this to cook a whole chicken because I'd read how good clay pots are. Well, I've never tasted chicken so moist and wonderful! My grandson says it's the best chicken ever! I have cooked fish in it also and that turned out so good too. If you're looking for a clay pot then I would definitely recommend this make.

I was devastated to find my old Romertopf broken in the cupboard. I'd had it probably 20 years; a gift from my mother. Very well used. I was delighted to find such a choice on Amazon and spent time choosing just the correct size. Some of these are really big and take up the whole oven space, but I wanted to be sure to leave at least room for one other shelf to cook on. This has a glazed interior, unlike my old one, which is a benefit in that its easier to clean. I use it most frequently for roasting chickens, but because of the included leaflet of instructions, I'm going to make more effort to cook other meats in it. It's one of those cooking utensils that I find I can't go wrong with. Perfect roast chicken every time - never dry or overcooked, the meat just falls off the bones, but you still have the benefit of the crisp skin on top.

Returned to romertopf after long wait. Flavour and ease of cooking is everything. Surprised by the quality of cleaning in dishwasher. Love it.

This is the second one I have bought, so one big and one small now. Love them. The large one I use for cooking the veg to accompany the Sunday roast, easy and tasty, less washing up. However, I have an oil fired range and an electric oven and use both, you wouldn't fit romertopf and roasting joint both in one oven. This smaller one I am using for baking bread, starting it off in my Panasonic 2500 on dough programme then raising in a basket and baking in the romertopf, looks like an artisan loaf but very little effort. The makers instructions say put in dishwasher so I have, no problem, nice and clean. I also bought 2 apple shaped ones for orchard fruits, not used yet. Also these dishes all look so pretty.

I’ve used one of these pots for over 40 years and perfect meal every time, fantastic for cooking beef joints , meat comes out soft every time

Helaas defect bij ontvangst. De retourtermijn was al verlopen, toch heeft Amazon alsnog de retourzending geaccepteerd. Dit is grote klasse. Inmiddels ook een nieuwe ontvangen en deze is perfect.

Have used this clay pot to bake several loaves of bread now and it truly works great. I've used baking stones, baking steeles, and cast iron dutch ovens in the past to bake my sourdough bread - and this clay pot makes a better loaf than any of those other methods. The bread from this comes out with a nice crisp, well blistered crust, while the crumb is moist, airy, and light. The loaves expanded better during the bake - I think because the clay is soaked in water before the bake and then the pot, with dough inside, is put into cold oven to start the bake. This gives a more gentle start to the bake, with nice steam generated from the damp clay - giving the crust more time to easily expand before the crust hardens, Great bread.

Der Römertopf ist ideal für 1-2 Personen. Die Gerichte sind sehr schmackhaft, der Topf ist sehr gut verarbeitet und leicht zu reinigen. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

un classique en version mini , acheté pour un cadeau , j’en ai eu de toutes les marques et toutes les tailles tout le monde est ravi de ces briques à poulet , attention de bien suivre les instructions sinon ça pete direct (faire tremper, démarrage à froid , pas de choc thermique ni de savon ) . euh la taille c’est pour 1 ou 2 personnes maxi , c’est dur d’y paire rentrer un poulet il faut un peut poulet , mais c’est délicieux.
