New portable solar battery king
Been a Delta Pro user for past year and although it operated flawlessly I was desperate for a new product mainly due to the really poor fan management of Delta Pro that the noise is just unbearable. Fast track to this Anker 767, I’ll not cover the basic design / functionalities but just sumup the areas mattered to me esp compared to Delta Pro: Background, I have both flexi panels (16 x 100w) on ground level and roof-installed panels (18x420w, with 2 dedicated for solar generators) that original idea was to go with Delta Pro expansion system to run the whole house but the noise issue put that off. Tesla battery is just over priced, not Lifepo4 type and not available anyways so back to use portable battery power banks to run the house as much as possible after sunset. What I like about the Anker 767: - Quietness! Felt like a lifesaver vs the jet engine noise of that Delta Pro that 767 operates almost silently; the fan quality and overall fan operating management has been excellent - this is the level all solar battery should aim at; - Looked to be excellent build and high quality; - All other goodies similar to those of Delta Pro; - Slightly lighter main unit and with battery up to 4kwh capacity; - Fast AC charging, claim to fully charge the 2kwh battery in just over 1.5hour; - Customer service been excellent, answered my queries promptly and offered helpful guidances; unit comes with 5-year warranty & battery should last 10yrs despite daily full charge/discharge. Dislike of the 767: - No remote access capability as Bluetooth only (meaning you can’t monitor the unit while out), not sure if this was to do with past mishaps Anker faced on storing user data? - Solar input is not very high only 1000w and 30-60v (and almost certain needing 5 of their very expensive foldable 200w panels); My roof panels with open circuit up to 59.41v that on sunny highest midday would trip the MPPT as guess voltage briefly exceed 60v (other times worked fine); - AC output is only 2400w not able to power hungry appliances more than 1 at a time (a bit nitpicking?) - Expandable solution max out at 4kwh; unlike others can go way beyond; - First unit received was defective although replacement one worked fine past 2weeks (dented the confidence in the product somewhat) I will provide further update as when relevant. For anyone needing a small (4kwh) solar battery at home, this will be my no.1 recommendation. Or, pair this with other noisy systems to get the best of both worlds.

Portable Fast Charging Power
Usage - charging up during the day when solar panels are on and there is an excess. Using at night to run various appliances. Likes ------- Easy to use. Sturdy. Wheels and handle work well. Display - input and output values on the display plus remaining timer left at that consumption. Have tested separately tumble drier (300w-600w depending on cycle), microwave, toaster, TV cabinet with XBox, sound bar and even the dual zone air fryer. This last one pulled 2460w and panicked slightly as thought max output was 2300w, but it seemed to cope happily (fans were running flat out though). Didn't leave it running for long at that output. Won't be using it for that again, but was a good test. Charging is fast. UPS works fine and didn't trip the PC which just carried on when pulled the plug. App is OK so far, basic, but does the job. Have not tried solar input yet or tested the car sockets. Dislikes --------- The 3 UK power plug sockets seem a bit flimsy - the plug stays securely in the right hand one, the middle one is a little bit sticky, but the left one the plug pops back out 2-3mm after insertion and doesn't feel secure. Power input - cable sticks out WAY too far and has a flimsy trap door to cover the sockets. This makes it much larger than needs to be when plugged in and agree with another reviewer should have an L-Shaped plug with perhaps a recessed set of sockets. Thing is the little plasticky trap door will easily get broken at some point. The covers on the front are made of rubber and should have the same on the back so won't get broken. When running flat out (see air fryer) the fans are very loud (louder than the air fryer), but as you would probably expect when pulling that amount. Heavy, but not unmanageable and given the capacity to be expected. Don't seem to be able to set the display to be permanently on (have various options for the timeout, but not a disable option). Know this is a power saving thing, but when testing various appliances would like the option. Overall --------- It is still expensive and and ROI will take years and years, but flexibility to be able to use when travelling and ability to use instead of a petrol generator to work with when need to is great. Having said all the above am still glad purchased with the £400 early bird discount code, but needs to be at this price ongoing as full price seems too expensive. Only been using a week so cannot comment on longevity yet. EDIT - been using it now for a few months and working fine. Did a firmware update yesterday and all went smoothly. As suspected, the flimsy plastic trap door covering the charging socket on the back has broken the little hinge clips (after being very careful with it) so do expect that to break when opened and closed a few times.

Excellent
Excellent bit of kit with plenty of power and it's on wheels so no more carrying heavy equipment...primarily bought to replace my lead acid batterys in my narrowboat and it's a game changer...microwave or air fry or toaster or electric kettle can be used and charge up via solar or alternator via dc to dc charger...its scalable so can be taken up to 4.5 kv...neat package with Bluetooth so you can keep an eye on output and inputs...no more guessing and beeping inverters with flat lead acid batterys...Excellent

Does everything I need only one niggle the joining cable - Update
I got my units direct from Anker After pricing up solar and battery store payback was 8 years at current rates, and I didn’t want to commit so much money when there were too many variables around that payback, plus what happens if I move. So looking at this if I used 3kwh (which I am) per day running office and game consoles, payback for me was 9 years (paid 3.1k) so a little longer but then if I move home it can all come with me and I can also stick it in the car for camping trips etc. Added plus I have it now, and not in 6 months to a years time so will be okay with blackouts if they come this winter - so instant office DR as such. I am currently running with extensions to other rooms in trials of how far I can push it, but if it looks like it is at the moment capable of running the upstairs electric ring, so Ill be looking at options to hard wire as such as I know others do offer that - I might also buy two solar panels next year and DIY fit them to charge it as that would bring payback around 7.5 years Things that impressed me Fan noise for me is low - nothing like others Ive seen though I have yet to push it past 1000w I was initially on the fence about how it draws power from 760 first then 767 when that’s depleted, as I assumed wrongly it would draw from both - still 760 is cheaper to replace, It looks and feels very sturdy and well made Its compact for what it is but there is one side that breaks that comment (below) Minor things I don’t like Lightbar is a bit pointless but then saying that the other buttons should have option to be illuminated for the limited power that would draw App Im not convinced by at the moment - you have to connect daily from what I can see and apart from maybe way to upgrade firmware, to me if your able to get to the unit to enable it you likely near it to click the display button to see the same info. There are a few options in the App that some might tweak but then forget about and you can also see battery health but Im hoping that doesn’t show much for a few years yet. Whilst fan noise is low it does seems to come on same length of time for draw of 2w or 400w which others I have had don’t - might be firmware fix for that but again it is low noise. Major issue for me which they Im hoping will solve is the connector cable - Why did they provide a connector that sticks out more than the unit itself, when they could of just supplied a L shaped connector to join them - unit is approx 25cms wide - this loop cable adds extra 30cm to that width and its not flexible so your stuck with it sticking out making the unit 55cm wide - a L shaped would be around 7cm so bad design especially as they try and sell it as a good solution for camper vans - who wants to waste 20cm+ of space for a cable!!! Again this is fixable as they can and I hope they are reading this create a L shaped cable. Update after 2 years So battery is still going strong, never missed a beat - chargers overnight on cheap tariff and then fuels the study with power. Annoying cable is still annoying. Bigger negative now for me is the total lack of any empty tank warning. Anker still does not allow the Bluetooth to remain on (why I don't know, it hardly draws any power). So you can't check with the phone unless you go over to enable it (it self-disables). Plus, due to that and their API policy, it isn't connectable to Home Assistant to automate power delivery if needed. So I have many times where I am happily working away and it powers down. So whilst it’s excellent as a battery store, I am taking a star off for this lack of warning or way to resolve it.

The bluetooth connection is rubbish.
I love this power station. It keeps my fridge/freezer going overnight down to about 50% charge. I mainly use it as a UPS during the day and turn off the charger overnight so that it gets to discharge and charge it up again the next day. I'm constructing a canopy of 3 solar panels over my south facing kitchen and bathroom, so I can recharge it "for free", just to dip my toe into the whole solar thing. Only bad point I would like to point out is the bluetooth range on this unit is rubbish. It constantly loses connection with my phone, which is never more than 30 feet away. I would still highly recommend it though. It is expensive, so get it when its on sale.
