This was a good replacement, fit right in

I bought a 1999 Oldsmobile Silhouette van and the map lights didn't work. I found the original switches in pieces and searched for replacements. I ordered some that I thought might work but had to return them. I eventually found that Amazon stocks the GM replacement part so I ordered a set. They are close but be prepared to modify them to your specific needs. First off, the wiring style is nothing like what mine was. I had to cut the connectors off, strip about 1/4" off the ends, tin the ends with solder then flatten the ends in a vice so they would slide into the tiny slots in the end of the switches. I watched a fellow on YouTube drive himself nuts trying to figure out how to get the wires to stay in place. I was lucky and even with some rough handling they stayed in place. I had to grind about 1/16" off the top of the shaft as it was too long to fit in my fixture properly. I also made some modifications to the fixture so I could use led bulbs in it. After all of this, I am happy with the results of my efforts. The lights work as they are supposed to and are brighter than the originals. Good well built switches from a USA source.

Button is smaller than original but worked ok for replacement. Terminals aren’t marked and are different than the original. Figured out with a meter how to rewire to new switch.

Perfect replacement on my 2010 Silverado. For the map light button.

Great price, fast shipping but not a plug and play part. Had to add pins to the wires, and it still barely fits the slots. It is a whole different design than the one I took off. When hooked up it works just fine. It fits in the slot to hold the switch as well. 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix

Easy Install

GM exact fit switches.

Worked fine after several trials. Original had 2 wire slots while this one had 3. If U have 2 wires (1 from power & 1 to lamp), use middle slot for power & the one to lamp either outer slots work. Had to put drop of glue to fit the button otherwise it will fall. Used smal crimp ends to enter wires into switch. 4 stars for button not fit and no wiring instructions. If U get Aliexpress switch type use outer slots for power and lamp.
