W4 Mastic Sealing Strip 19mm x 5m White Waterproof Butyl Caravan Tape

5mx32mm arrived ahead of the estimated delivery. Very good quality sealing tape, very sticky so position carefully as you won't move it easily. I removed the old sealant around a joint on my caravan, scraping off as much old sealant as possible, then removed the residue with white spirit. I then wiped the joint with methylated spirits. When clean and dry I carefully positioned the tape pressing it down using a wallpapering roller on the backing paper to get a good bond. I then pulled the backing paper off and fitted the trim and original screws. The finished seal looks high quality; and hopefully no more damp inside the caravan.

Brilliant stuff, did just the job on a repair I needed to do. After having a pop top put on our campervan and finding out the hard way that it hadn't been sealed in any way, shape or form...I found this and got the job done, used in conjunction with sikaflex being extra cautious and wanting to leave a good finish on the outside.This was easy to work with, cut to size and sealed firmly down to stop any water ingress.I cut it to the full length required, applied over the screw holes and pressed it firmly into position, was then able to re-secure the poptop canvas down, using the original screws through the original holes, only this time those holes were well and truly sealed around the screw. We have had some torrential rain and fortunately had no more troubles with leaks.When I re-secured the pop top canvas down, the W4 mastic strip did 'bulge' out the edges making it look a bit messy, but i trimmed that excess off with a sharp stanley blade and then added the black sikaflex all the way around to finish the job off.5 out of 5, but would have been 6 out of 5 if they made it in black!

Easy to use. Covered some sealant gaps on my ol' moho a treat! Made the joins look so much neater! Great stuff!

This stuff has successfully sealed the front joint on the caravan as the original had broken down and was no longer sealing the joint. The unfortunate thing is that it is sticky on both sides so is picking up all sorts of stuff that I can't wipe off again. I suppose the main function is to seal the joint so from that point of view it works well.

Es perfecto y la anchura es buena para los perfiles tapa tornillos, es suficiente mente gruesa para que al apretar se quede estanco. Lo recomiendo.

bijour a tous les motorhomistes ,notre hantise c'est bien les petite fuite ici et la ;pare les trous de vis des baguettes, contour de toiture, Ets...alors ci ont colle ave c du silicone ,le démontage d une pièce devin fastidieux voir irréversible c est une des raison pour la quel ont utilise un mastique qui reste toujours mou et collant ce qui permet a chaque coup de chaleur qu' il se remette a coller et a rendre étanche (mastique butyl) celui-ci est particulièrement facile
