This is my first tablet. It was a choice between this and the ipad. I have and iphone 4s that im completely board with it and cant wait to get a new samsung phone. So the galaxy tab 4 it was. This is a great device and a good choice. All i want to do is surf the net, get my emails,play a few games and of course, watch u tube, catch up TV and book a few holidays etc. The tab4 does this perfectly well with no lag and the screen is colourful and clear. It connects quickly to WiFi and I can tether it to my phone and use my data allowance when im not in a WiFi zone .Not used the camera yet but i didnt buy it for that purpose. I have a camera for that,plus Samsung phones are razor sharp when it comes to picture and video taking. Ill use that when i get it. Over all, the finnish is quite nice and the 10.1 screen size is ample. Why pay more for an ipad when you can have this ? Very happy with Amazons quick delivery too.For a first timer, I cant see any problems with this and wouldnt swap it for the Ipad . From the comparison reviews ive seen, theres not much of a difference if you are not taking pictures with it. The fors and againsts are quite close. The Technical among you may beg to differ. For me ? its all i need and cant wait to try out all the features that i havnt discovered yet !

Arrived on time. I read a lot of reviews about it being a 'grey import', mine wasn't. I have no complaints about this device It's a fun tablet from a good manufacturer and a steal at the price. It's not as slick as an iPad but it has got the flexibility of taking a memory card and there are less restrictions on the software you can install. As I know nothing about tablets all I can do is tell you about Saffron, my brother's granddaughter, who loves the devise. As the tablet was a year old, and technology has increased incrementally, prices have gone down. But, It is all one could possibly need computer wise unless one is a computer whizz kid, which Saffron might become. For any age it is a wonderful birthday present providing they just want the basics plus a lot more, which are difficult enough in themselves, and Saffron, I am sure, has learned to navigate around the devise because there is online instructions and it is not too complicated, I hope!.

A quick review to put fears at ease. Never bought anything like this before off the net and really concerned about doing so as you don't really know 100% what you're getting until it arrives. I ordered from the seller Skywish and hand on heart had no problems with them what so ever. I asked a question regarding this product and along with others they responded swiftly putting my mind at ease. Once the purchase was completed the tablet actually came the next day which was great via courier and requiring a signature. Packaging was more than adequate and all official Samsung box/packaging/seals were in place. Warranty is included in the box which I believe is 12 months. You also get Tablet with plastic coverings and a usb/charging lead and plug which is a three pin with what looks like the option to convert to twin pin if necessary. The tablet itself switched straight on with around 60% battery. Following switch on you just go through a quick set up which is made easy by simple on screen instructions. The screen is clear, sharp and really responsive. Anyone remotely familiar with Android will have no problems here and feel straight at home and anyone who isn't shouldn't find it too difficult as everything is presented in a really clear easy to understand fashion. The tablet is fast and seems to take most tasks so far with ease I bought this as a gift to replace my partners laptop and she couldn't be happier. Quicker access and everything is pretty much instant. Would definitely recommend the 10.1 inch screen, the tablet overall isn't too big or chunky but the screen is big and just makes seeing things clearer and you spend a lot less time pulling and zooming. If you're trying to decide between the 7,8 or 10 go with the 10 you wont regret it worth every penny.

Absolutely love this tablet, so easy to use, fast, clear picture.... absolutely excellent.I read many reviews on different tablets before purchasing this one.The main reason for buying this tablet rather than the Kindle Fire is I can load the Sky Go app, so can now sit and watch Sky in bed at no extra cost.It takes a while to charge to 100% but once there runs for ages before the need to recharge.The 10" screen is a perfect size.It has a camera back and front so will be setting Skype up shortly.Cannot recommend this tablet enough.

i bought this for my mum for her birthday, to replace her old iPad 3. This does everything the iPad did, whilst it is lighter and has a bigger screen. Most importantly, it is half the price of the equivalent iPad Air! It may be half the price, but it's definitely not half the tablet. As far as I can see, the only drawbacks are the poor camera (who uses a tablet for pictures anyway?), the screen (it's not as good as the iPad, but is to be expected in this price range and certainly not a deal breaker) and perhaps the plastic casing, however I think it's fine and will probably prove more hard wearing than the metal on the iPad.Overall we are very pleased with this tablet, it is our first Samsung and Android tablet, and will definitely get moons again. I will be looking at Samsung when I replace my iPad! The expandable storage is a big plus too.Would certainly recommend.
