Blood Glucose reading** A: No, not very accurate. I do not think you can trust it at all. I had a Freestyle Libre 2 inserted in my arm intentionally so that I could compare the 2 devices. It is my personal experiance that as far as blood sugar is concerned there is no fixed difference in the reading so it is of absolutely no use. The Blood Pressure and Heart rate are fairly accurate compared to manual measurement. I have given an honest opinion of more importance I am a medical Doctor and have Type 2 Diabetes, I was hoping to save money with this watch regarding BG measurement and not need to keep on buying Freestyle Libre 2 which is quite expensive. **Q: Does this watch have any independent medical research or approval from the FDA ? or just plain dangerous** A: I have researched this pretty carefully being a Type 2 diabetic. It is my understanding that the technology employed in such non-invasive blood sugar measuring devices is still in development and its measurements should not be used to control blood sugar. There are several references on the internet to experiments in which unsuccessful attempts were made to correlate finger-prick sugar measurements with non-invasive devices - and several examples of people returning watches which were clearly unreliable. The biggest clue is in the description of the watch on Amazon which includes the text "The smart watch cannot be used as a medical device, and the measured data is only for reference". I have been unable to find a watch with an FDA approval. Clearly the technology does not work properly and I believe that to attempt to control blood sugar by means of a watch could be dangerous.
