Superb for marinating meats.
This product is great for me when marinating meats, as it sinks into meats more easily than when l grind the actual hard stars of anise. I was pleased to find this product, as it is not readily available where l live. Wonderful taste and smell.

Excellent quality with great flavour. I had previously ground my own from whole seeds but this is so much more convenient with great fragrance and taste. Arrived in good time and very well packed.

Does the job!
Been trying to find this product for a couple of years, but even drew a black in the Asian and Oriental grocery shops. This must be a fairly recent addition - but a welcome one, to the site.

Fresh and good quality
I needed this ingredient to make my own gingerbread spice for our Christmas cookies. It arrived quickly, the smell is amazing and it worked really well. The final mixture was excellent and cookies were gone in a blink of an eye!

Good fragrant spice
Had a light bulb moment when now using more star anise in salads, curries, pies etc, that perhaps there is a ground powder already out there rather than me either grinding it myself or using the whole spice and forgetting to tell people to watch out for them! Pleased with this as I could not find it locally - very fresh and fragrant, which I wondered about, comparing to the whole spice. Just as pungent. Good seller too.
