We enjoyed the natural scent of the lavender and rosemary essential oils. I have also read that these oils act as a natural mosquito repellent...so this sunscreen is a 2-in-1 combo.It is definitely a requirement to knead the tube thoroughly before attempting to dispense as it is quick thick. The thickness gave me a feeling of security that my kids were protected from the sun. However, I don't feel like it is a good consistency to use as a sunscreen on my face and will instead use Clinique cosmetic mineral sunscreen for my face and this sunscreen for my body and for my children.Thus, far we haven't had much of an opportunity to use the sunscreen because there just haven't been very many sunny days in Michigan this year. My daughter has very sensitive skin prone to heat rashes, so finding a sunscreen that works for her is important. The one day we used it, she didn't break out or get burned. We were surprised by the lavender scent. I wish it was lightly tinted since it does leave a noticeable white tint behind till it is fully absorbed. I'm excited that it is supposed to repel bugs.
