Dr Martens Unisex-Adult Vegan 1461 Lace Up

I only bought these at the end of March so I can't comment on how well they wear at the moment, but will update my comment in time as I found other comments that did that really helped my decision to buy these.Well, what else can I say except that I am utterly in love? I wear them almost every day and they only took one painful first day to break in even though with docs I was expecting up to two weeks of pain, but apparently that's a vegan version bonus? Very chuffed! Undeniably, the price for them as opposed to the RRP is an absolute bargain.My feet are a somewhat wide 4.5 but I bought these in a 4 and they fit perfectly even with regular ankle or trainer socks.Although I'm absolutely delighted with them at the moment, I really do hope they last a long time because even though I wear them a LOT they are still rather expensive shoes with a big selling point of being durable. But, only time will tell and so will I when I update this review after a few months of wear!Thank you very much for my lovely shoes!

Very comfy, and they are holding their shape and finish better than the leather versions I have had previously. A wonderful pair of shoes.Update: Over a year later, and while the rubber sole is pretty smooth now, the vegan uppers are still in great nick. Definitely outlasting the leather version which is usually more than a little scuffed by now.Update 2: Over three years later and it's finally time to say goodbye to these shoes. The soles have worn down to pretty flat and there are a couple of cracks which let the water in. What I find amazing is that the uppers are still in really good nick!Update 3: Six years or so later and these are still my daily shoes. I'm reluctantly thinking of replacing them soon as the soles are worn a bit too smooth, but the uppers are still in great nickUpdate 4: More than seven years later, I have finally ordered a replacement pair.

Now I'm here to take it all back.Originally bought these in 2013, just replaced them as the last pair were getting a bit worn out after daily wear "on my feet" in a biochemistry lab. Absolutely fantastic shoes. Bought exactly the same shoes and they feel like the usual good quality I've grown to enjoy from these.So, I wrote the above review after a new pair. They split after three months. I returned for a full refund and then waited a year or so before purchasing some more in January of this year.Unfortunately I'm about to return them for the same issue. Splitting down near the sole of the shoe. Seems quality has dropped.

Amazing lifespan. I’ve had these shoes for 9 1/2 years with nearly daily use and they have only come to the end of their life. They have been super comfy and I’ve had so many compliments over the years.

I have previously worn "Airseal" shoes purchased from another website and had been warned off Dr Martens as they had moved their production to China.Given that Dr Martens are about £26 cheaper, I decided to punt for the black pair, for the first time in about 10 years. I'm pleased I did. They are comfortable, hardwearing and seem every bit as durable as I remember them.The uppers of the "alternative Airseal" shoes I'd bought began to peel badly. So far so good with the Dr Martens.I appreciate that the "brown" version is, in reality cherry but I have absolutely no problem with them. They look perfectly OK - I've had no-one looking at my shoes and then pointing at me in amazement!!!I would have no problem recommending them to any veggies/vegans looking for good quality reasonably priced shoes.

Real swanky pair of creps, wooooooo.

I love these shoes, they fit amazingly and are so comfortable, I got terrible blisters at first but once you've broken them in they're great.WARNING - The brown part of the sole came apart from the black bit very quickly and so they broke. Nearly completely broken. Sadly bought not through Dr M. so can't do much. Lasted about 2 months before they started to break, 5 months later and they're very damaged now and NOT due to excessive wear. Be careful!!!

I had a car accident as a five-year old child and since then I've broken my foot a couple of times due to walking on unstable ground or inferior quality footware. I owned a pair of Dr Martens about twenty years ago. I had forgotten how superior they are to other shoes. As far as I am concerned there is no better shoe. Since buying them, I've been able to focus on looking at other things wherever I go and I find myself walking with much more confidence. The soles of these shoes are amazing. You feel the quality and technology beneath your feet. That's a gift. And as for the upper part of the shoes, well I have to admit I was reluctant to buy them as I've had so many inferior shoes over the years. Now I refuse to wear any of my other shoes when I go walking on rough terrain or even in the city.

Da quando ho fatto la scelta vegan l'abbigliamento, ma in particolare le scarpe hanno costituito, almeno in un primo momento, una spina nel fianco.Difficilissimo trovare negozi fisici che trattino l'articolo e ammesso che ci siano, non sempre il modello incontra i gusti o le preferenze. Inevitabile l'acquisto on line con una articolata offerta che non lascia alibi. Nello specifico ho riacquistato una Dr Martens dopo 25 anni: all'epoca comprai gli anfibi in pelle, non sapevo neanche cosa volesse dire vegan, e per quanto trovassi le scarpe molto belle non nacque mai un vero feeling per cui non ebbe luogo quel periodo di rodaggio indispensabile per addomesticarle a dovere.Discorso completamente diverso con l'articolo acquistato di recente: le ho infilate ai piedi e indossate per dodici ore consecutive senza alcun tipo di problemi. Vorrei dire anche la mia esperienza sul numero: ho un 42 e mezzo per cui sapevo che la scarpa sarebbe andata un po' larga e correttamente, credo, ho segnalato questo aspetto a beneficio di chi non ha un numero pieno; assolutamente non consiglio di stare sul numero più piccolo perché credo che sarebbero dolori sotto tutti i punti di vista. Nonostante ciò credo che le 5 stelle le meritino tutte perché le ho trovate, indossandole ripeto per dodici ore consecutive al primo colpo, decisamente confortevoli; avverto i cuscinetti ammortizzanti che fanno il loro lavoro e quando cammino sento il piede ben piantato; inoltre ho la sensazione che la scarpa imponga di camminare correttamente, senza trascinare i piedi, con un appropriato movimento di dinamico carico-scarico. La sensazione che possano scappare un po' via rimane, specie sul piede destro che è più piccolo, ma malgrado ciò non ho ritenuto di abbassare il voto.Soprattutto nella stagione autunnale ed invernale non costituisce un problema scegliere un paio di calze più consistenti o stringere le stringhe in modo che il piede sia maggiormente avvolto.Nel breve periodo decorrente dall'acquisto ad oggi, indossate quasi tutti i giorni e per molto tempo, ho notato che la suola appare resistente all'abrasione ed occorre camminare davvero molto per iniziare a vedere i segni dell'utilizzo.Sembrano anche piuttosto facili da pulire, mentre non ho ancora testato veramente la scarpa con pioggia battente e pozzanghere al livello delle cuciture, che eviterei in ogni caso, anche se fossi certo dell'impermeabilità, ma che non sempre è possibile viste le strade e i marciapiedi italiani.Le trovo infine, ma si tratta di un gusto personale, anche sobriamente eleganti, almeno nella forma, anche se la cucitura ne evidenzia la sua origine di scarpa da lavoro.In conclusione ritengo che gli aspetti favorevoli controbilancino ampiamente il discorso sulla calzata e che in ogni caso prenderei il 43 per i miei 27 cm di piede. Peccato solo che anche gli anfibi sono soltanto neri, perché per la comodità e fruibilità, avere anche un altro colore da abbinare non mi sarebbe dispiaciuto visto che la scelta vegan non credo sia reversibile.

Diese Schuhe haben sehr sehr viel Liebe verdient. Dr. Martens sind für mich einfach Schuhe die nachhaltig sind - besonders stolz bin ich auf die veganen Modelle, die ich mit voller Überzeugung unterstützte!Wie bei Dr. Martens üblich ist die einlaufzeit die Hölle. Es empfiehlt sich daher nicht, sie in der Anfangszeit über den ganze Tage lang anzuziehen. Zunächst denkt man man hätte die falsche Größe gewählt und ist vielleicht ein wenig deprimiert, aber das Einlaufen lohnt sich! Nach einer Weile sitze die Schuhe perfekt. Sie sehen richtig gut aus, die Verarbeitung ist gewohnt hochwertig. Man kann die Schuhe zu vielen Kleidungsstilen kombinieren, egal ob schick oder lässig. Ich bin absolut verliebt in die Schuhe. I bought it for my girlfriend and they are great.. In the photo it looks like a black shoes but, it's kinda deep blue - gray, so pay attantion to the colour until ordering, not to make same mistake as i did : ) Anyway this colour i liked much more.
