Precision, Reliability, and Outstanding Support โ A True Upgrade for Serious Crafters!
----------------- ๐ค๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ธ ๐ฉ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ ----------------- If youโre looking for a high-precision cutting machine thatโs reliable, well-supported, and built to last, the Siser Juliet Electronic Cutter is an absolute game changer! After switching to it from the Silhouette Cameo 4, the difference in accuracy, reliability, and overall user experience has been HUGE. The Juliet consistently produces clean, precise cuts with virtually no issues, even with heavy use. ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ - Extremely precise and accurate cuts (great for sticker makers especially if you use holographic laminate/sheets!) - Very reliable โ no miscuts after months of heavy use! - Strong long-term software support from Siser - Compatible with additional tools like crease and etch attachments - Excellent customer service compared to competitors - Built like a premium, long-lasting machine ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ - Higher upfront cost compared to entry-level cutters - May have a slight learning curve for beginners coming from other machines ----------------- ๐ ๐ ๐๐ ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ ----------------- After doing a LOT of research on cutting machines, I ultimately decided to purchase the Siser Juliet (and luckily found it on sale). Looking back now, I honestly wish I had bought it first. Here's why: Before I purchased the Juliet, I was using a Silhouette Cameo 4. Although it worked well for a time, I eventually encountered several issues. I began experiencing miscuts and an unsettling loud screeching noise that sounded like metal dragging on metal. This made crafting more frustrating than enjoyable. I also want to highlight that Silhouette's customer support was not helpful; they attributed the problem to a firmware issue when it was clearly a mechanical one. I attempted to fix the machine myself, but despite numerous efforts, I was unsuccessful. I use this machine heavily, and during the entire time I've had it, I haven't experienced a single miscut. The precision and consistency have made crafting much smoother and more enjoyable. Plus, it is significantly quieter and faster than any other cutting machine I've used! This incredible machine has made me fall in love with crafting again! ๐ ----------------------------- ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐น๐ถ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐๐ ----------------------------- The biggest thing that stands out with the Siser Juliet Electronic Cutter is its accuracy. Cuts are extremely clean and precise, even with detailed designs. I havenโt experienced the misalignment or inconsistent cuts that I previously dealt with using my old machine. After months of heavy use, the machine continues to perform exactly the same as it did on day one, which gives me a lot of confidence in its long-term durability. Unlike some companies that release a โnewโ machine every year, Siser focuses on refining and improving the software for the Juliet and listening to feedback from their users. Theyโve continued to add improvements and new features over time, which shows that theyโre committed to the people using their machines. Theyโve also released additional tools for the Juliet, like crease and etch tools, which expand what the machine can do without requiring an entirely new model. My experience with Siser support has been quick, helpful, and responsive, which is something I unfortunately didnโt experience with other brands. Compared to my past experience dealing with issues on the Silhouette Cameo 4, the difference in response time and helpfulness was amazing. Instead of troubleshooting miscuts or dealing with mechanical issues, I can focus on my projects. For serious crafters or small business owners, the time and money saved on craft materials, along with the frustration avoided, add up quickly. And when youโre investing in a machine like this, knowing the company actually supports its customers is a big deal. People frustrated with miscuts or reliability issues from other cutters โ Vinyl or HTV creators who work with detailed designs โ Small business owners making products with cutting machines โ Anyone who values long-term support and good customer service ---------------------------------------- ๐ช๐ต๐ผ ๐ ๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฆ๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐น๐๐ฒ ---------------------------------------- โ ๏ธ Beginners looking for a very low-cost starter machine โ ๏ธ People who only craft occasionally and donโt need professional-level precision -------------- ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ฐ๐น๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป -------------- The Siser Juliet has been an absolute game changer for my crafting workflow. Insanely accurate, wonderful machine
I have bought two of these, the first one malfunctioned and the seller took excellent care of me in resolving that problem (Happy Crafters has a lifelong fan as a result!). The machine itself is frankly amazing, especially compared to my Maker 3 and Cameo 4. There are things I can do on this machine that I just could not on the others, mostly comes down to accuracy, but Romeo is: 1) Much, much faster than both - try 1 pass die-cut instead of 3 at a speed about twice as fast as Maker 3 2) Much quieter than both, but especially the Cameo 4 3) So accurate that I can cut a .05" 'thumbnail peel' edge on the stickers I make without adding extra time doing the second 'kiss' cut (in the same job!) 4) The software hasn't had an update in the couple weeks I've had the machine. I can't say that when it does finally update that it won't break the cutter, but I can imagine that's a problem unique to Cricut software iykyk 5) Built in Wifi - if you have trouble getting it to connect, it doesn't like WPA3 security at all. I couldn't find this documented anywhere, but changing to WPA/WPA2 connected on the first try All of these machines have their quirks, and their accompanying software varies. Leonardo Design Studio is Siser's. It seems less capable at first, but I quickly found out that it was perfectly suited for everything I need, with several features I haven't tried yet. I will say that I DO NOT like that Leonardo Pro is a subscription instead of a one-time fee, but I also have decided that I don't need Pro at this time anyway. It came with a trial and it saved some time being able to tile your designs and have them fill the available page space, but copy/paste is free, for example. One of the better parts of Leonardo is that it is able to use more surface area of my material, I'm able to get an extra sticker per sheet because of this, so it's saving money right out of the box! If you're serious about your cuts, your time, your business, this is your machine. It's definitely an investment, but one that's well worth it, in my opinion. The feeling of quality my stickers now have was worth the cost of admission alone. I was manually slitting the back of my stickers for 'easy peel' before, this takes it to a new level of professionalism and quality. The biggest gripe I would say I have with this, its features aren't well documented, including Leonardo. I was able to find everything I needed by searching and mostly great folks on Reddit. If you have used Design Space or Silhouette Studio, most of what you can do in Leo is old hat (except they call offsets 'contours'). It has a literal camera for alignment, that works very well. Place the blade near the line, but directly above the triangle (you'll see). Tip: when it can't find the first registration mark, it's looking for the bottom left corner of the 'L' page mark. Adjust the crosshair on the screen to this corner and say OK, it should then find the other three and continue on its way. I do glossy stickers with a clear overlay and it's been able to register successfully every time (try that with the Cameo 4). In my opinion, this is going from hobby grade cutters to (entry-mid level) professional without getting into the $1000s. I love it and can't recommend it enough!

Steep learning curve, AMAZING MACHINE
I wanted to give this machine a fair shot before reviewing. I have had the Romeo a little over a month and I am absolutely in love with it. I have used a Cricut machine for the past 7 years and felt it was time to upgrade. My Air 2 has gotten a lot of use for our small business, but I felt we had reached the point where we needed something a little more advanced and quicker. I hate how Cricut design space functions and our machine just felt, clunky. The Romeo FAR outperforms the Cricut in many ways. 1. It is MUCH faster. You can adjust the cut speed from the touch screen on the Romeo. The speeds are also different levels, compared to my Air 2 which is just regular speed or turbo (which always cut like crap). 2. The smoothness of the Romeo cuts/lines is INCREDIBLE. There is literally no comparison when it comes to the quality of the cuts. There are no snags around corners, minimal slipping when the feeders are aligned with the grippy spots correctly, and it just overall performs like a QUALITY machine. It's also much quieter when running. 3. Leonardo design studio is where things got difficult for me. After getting used to Leonardo though, going back and using Cricut design space was PAINFUL. Once you learn the shortcuts in Leonardo, it is much easier to navigate. The cut screen is easier to use and making individual weed borders is a breeze. Also, being able to adjust the material width on the canvas is amazing. Being able to EASILY organize your images to maximize product usage is something I didn't know I was missing. 4. NO MORE CUTTING MATS. For the most part anyways. I still use a mat here and there for super small detailed images or when I'm using up scrap material. The Romeo also came with a roll holder which is so nice once you get it aligned and set up right. The only potential flaw I have noticed is in how Leonardo Design Studio reads "invisible" pen lines from Illustrator. It may be a "me" thing, but when I save an SVG in Adobe Illustrator that includes invisible pen pines, they do not translate over to Leonardo. They just disappear. Which is a huge bummer as this is the ONLY thing that is keeping me using my Cricut for certain images where I don't want double/triple cut lines on complex images. Again, this may be a me thing and maybe I'm missing something but it is a big bummer for me. Overall, I am so pleased with my purchase. I will NOT be going back to using a Cricut except for the few complex images previously mentioned. If you are switching from a Cricut to a Siser machine, be patient. The learning curve is a bit steep. I almost returned the machine several times but I am so glad I stuck with it.

They must not have tested it before shipping.
I read the reviews before purchasing and it looked good, I'm not new to vinyl cutters this is my third one that I use for a side gig in my retirement, plus I used to teach graphic design in high school. I could not get the blade closer than 1/8" to the material when making the cut. Extending the blade that far is not an option. I spent nearly 4 hours trying to get it to work using the software and normal means, and I will not disassemble the head on a new machine to try and make it work. My only vent for the frustration is to write this review.

Wow just WOW, but beware the learning curve, Large format Print N Cut
I got this machine for larger format print and cut, 13 x 19 and larger. I almost gave this 4 stars because of the software but I know they are still fixing things. When you import an image (like from photoshop), it does not size it the way the image is, instead you need to set it, and it can be a bit confusing at first. I've gotten used to it now. This won't scan and cut like the other brand machine, however the pros of this machine are FAR FAR FAR greater than the other. I can see that once I do get the right size saved, I can print them and cut them with ease, back to back, side to side. And the machine is extremely well built, very professional, it's not a toy. You have much more control and can do things the others won't do. It's FAST if you want, or SLOW if you want. But be prepared for trial and error, because things are not explained clearly to you, you have to figure it out. FOR EXAMPLE. My printer settings were saved for borderless printing, however the print will not cut because the register marks don't line up with the software sending the cut job. I should have trusted my instinct. DO not print with borderless option. Also the orientation that it shows the mat and the print on it, caused me confusion, you can place the print almost anywhere as long as it registers with the camera. There are other things about the software that are difficult, but then if you want the good tools you need to subscribe and pay, so that part I don't like, and I will just get by using the basic tools. It will ONLY cut paper thin or cardstock, don't bother trying thicker. Also where do you buy the 24 x 24 mat? Lack of info anywhere. I bought the one at Michaels brand and it's way too thick. I went to LOWES and bought a huge sheet of the same material in the lumber section and cut my own mats, and added in the grid by hand. Took time but works Perfect. As far as the OTHER brand, the scam and cut, are complete garbage compared, and I'm still upset at that company for the ridiculous rules they put in place regarding mat, mat size, scan size, mat type with model type etc... etc...

Great Machine, poor instructions
Great Machine! My first Cutter and I am impressed. However, the instructions are not sufficient. I ended up buying instructions from an online site..There are too many gaps in the information to intuitively figure it out. I bought this bundle which included many different types of vinyl. But most of them aren't labeled. I have ZERO clue which one does what. I don't think it would have been too much to ask for them to label the sheets. With no experience, this is extremely frustrating. Clearly someone buying the bundle is a newby. An experienced person wouldn't buy it this way. So LABEL the SHEETS!! Please..I am spending too much time trying to figure out what they do. I don't find that fun.

A massive upgrade from the Silhoutte Cameo 4
As the title of my review suggests, the Siser Juliet is leaps and bounds better than the Silhoutte Cameo 4. I use both for print and cut jobs (stickers) and I can't tell you how agonizing it was to use the Cameo 4. I had nonstop issues with the Cameo 4 reading registration marks -- no amount of Reddit threads, troubleshooting, or YouTube hacks were bringing long-term success. And, it was ridiculously loud. I made the jump to the Siser Juliet and it is SO QUIET in comparison. So slick. Cuts with 100% accuracy. Not a single issue with it. Other reviewers indicate that it's hard to figure out -- not so. If you've been able to teach yourself how to use similar machines, you can easily learn this one. Plus, Siser offers you the chance to manually test your cutting depth before ever running a full print job. An awesome feature that saves so much time and product. I'm delighted I made the switch and have no regrets about tossing my Silhoutte directly in the trash. If you're on the fence, I encourage you to take the leap. I'm expecting a long life from this beauty!

Quiet, Powerful, Stylish, Excellent.
As a newbie to craft machines, I can tell you that I am in love with my Siser Romeo! I won't go over all the reasons why (those are covered well in other reviews), I will only say that I get very impatient with machines that don't work, and I haven't lost it with my Romeo yet. I will offer the following advice to anyone who's afraid to buy the Romeo because others have had problems with their vinyl traveling or shifting during cutting (I assume this advice will also work with the Juliet?): 1. Align your vinyl to the front edge of the machine, not to the arrows in the grey box on the left. On my machine, at least, that grey box is not squared properly to the cutting path, but when the vinyl is aligned to the front edge, cutting accuracy is impeccable, and there is no travel. 2. Anchor your machine so it doesn't slide around the table. I made little chocks for mine, and it made a huge difference. I can cut the full 24" from a roll of any length all day long without any shift now. 3. Watch the how-to videos! Siser puts out excellent videos, and so does Swift Creek Customs. I learned so much from those two before my machine even arrived. There's lots of help available in several Siser Facebook groups, too. I highly recommend the Romeo, even for first-time users. Bravo, Siser!

Best Vinyl Cutting Machine
Since I got my Siser Romeo, I stopped using my Cricut Maker 3. So much that I put it back in it's box, and might sell it. That being said, I'm not criticizing the Maker 3 as it is a good machine for beginners, people that are not too tech savvy or people that want an easy machine. At the opposite, the Siser Romeo requires a much bigger learning curve given that the user controls all settings (force, speed, length of the blade). But once you know how to make it work, it is an incredible machine.

Amazing cutter
High quality market leading tool, looks really slick in my craft space. At the time of purchase Amazon was the best price. It did come with a US Plug outlet but luckily I had a spare one so consider that when buying. Amazing upgrade to what I had previously, scan and cut ease was brilliant!
