Product just arrived and on time. It looks to be a really well designed piece of kit although slightly smaller than I expected. Nonetheless it seems to be of excellent quality, lightweight, well padded, lots of storage compartments, good zips, strong carry handle, and rigid front and rear panels which will provide excellent protection to the contents. My 15.6 laptop can fit in both main pockets (it could take 2) but I suspect it might be a bit too tight for a 17". Absolutely great value for money. I just hope it performs as good as it looks. (And no, I have no connections with Camden or the vendor and I paid the full price on Amazon for this product). UPDATE JULY 2019. Now had this pack for a few months during which it has been used daily and survived several long-haul flights and rail trips. I can testify that the product is well-made with no signs of wear, stitching failure, or the straps becoming detached. I tend to carry quite heavy loads of around 10kg and it copes perfectly. The zips are good - strong and smooth running. In fact they run so smooth that the bag's lap-top compartment can can open abruptly (a problem I have solved by using mini snap-links to hold the zip pullers together.). One of the capacious side pockets is big enough to take laptop power supply and cable. However, the bag could still be improved: the document dividers need to be full height to prevent document sliding underneath and the small internal pockets in the front compartment need to have a velcro or other form of closure. Nonetheless, an extremely good backpack that is standing up well to the rigours of daily life. I have no reservations about recommending it.UPDATE MARCH 2023: STILL GOING STRONG! Been round the world and much much more, often overloaded and abused, but this pack has never missed a beat. Stitching and zips all good. A five-star product.

I use a bag a lot for work, and it needs to be good quality as I travel a fair bit, so need a bag that is versatile and that will survive.Over the years I’ve had good and bad, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I ordered this Camden Gear one.I have to say that I’m impressed! The build quality is good, it is spacious and comfortable to carry too, it ticks all of the boxes in my opinion.It will likely replace my cabin bag that I use for flying as I can fit all I need in it and I know my stuff will be secure and well protected.It’s worth the money and is certainly ‘up there’ with some of the more expensive luggage brands that are also known for their quality and robustness.The design is smart, making it perfect for work, school or travel. Plenty of pockets/compartments for additional carry options too.Definitely worthy of 5 stars.

The Camden Gear Edwardian Anti Theft Laptop Backpack is a high quality piece of kit. I am impressed with the attention to detail, from the abundance of little & not so little compartments, some zipped, some elasticated & some simply vertical openings.As a work / study bag, it will comfortably accommodate a large laptop & its accessories, pens, folders, books, keys (there's a detachable keyring which clips into place inside the backpack) & cash, all neatly stored in separate sections. There are dedicated spaces for your sunglasses & mobile phone (you can store your phone out of sight with a grommet at the top of the backpack to feed through wired earphones).I actually used the backpack for a weekend away, & it was perfect for my clothes, toiletries & iPad, the usual mass of plugs, cables & chargers & 2 bottles of wine! With so many separate sections, I liked the fact that I could keep my laundry separate. The shoulder straps are easily adjusted & I found them very comfortable when I was wearing the backpack, & the rubber grip at the top makes it a doddle to carry as a conventional bag.This is the best backpack I have owned & I'm confident that it will give me years of good service.

Good Points:• Nice and discreet, business like not obvious it’s a laptop bag• Good quality strong material• Good quality and precise zips, that are full length allowing you to open the backpack fully• Strong handle• Side straps so can shrink the depth of the backpack if not full• iPod pocket a nice addition, if people still use iPods? but wouldn’t use it for a phone as need to see the screen• Nice front section with key hook, but not sure on the hard front• Nice security pocket at bottom of back of backpack for passport etc.• Nice padded straps with mesh pocket and sunglasses holder• Zip up lower side pockets (but not suitable for water bottles) useful for laptop power supply or mouse etc.Suggested Improvements• Handle could be padded rather than hard plastic• No water bottle pocket and side zip pockets don’t hold a bottle securely• No padding at the bottom of the laptop sleeve leaving the laptop with the outer material before the floor• A tablet sleeve on the outside of the laptop sleeve would be useful• Not enough internal pockets for cables, laptop power supply, mouse, accessories etc• Main backpack section with two sleeves, is open at the bottom so any papers put in there slip through only useful if in hard back ring binder folders for example

Excellent bag, strong robust and plenty of spacious storage (sections). Sturdy zips all round pc and chargers etc in one section, files papers stored adequately in another and front compartment has easy access and plenty storage for diary pens diary note pad etc. Padded straps and comfy fit and would recommend.
