Effective and easy to use
It arrived in pieces that needed to be assembled. I made one mistake so I had to take some of it apart to go back a couple of steps. I think that could have been avoided if the instructions were a little bit clearer. Some of the assembly relies on brute strength so it would be easier to assemble with 2 people if you don't have much oomph by yourself.Once put together and secured to the bed it's a great device to stop my toddler from rolling out. The barrier folds down 180 degrees when not in use just by pressing 2 release buttons and pulling it down. It's taller and longer than most other similar devices here which I personally think is important just in case the little ones gets adventurous. After a couple of months' of use I'm very happy with it and would gladly recommend it to other families.

Good product
The instructions weren’t quite easy to understand but we managed anyway to assemble it. It fits perfectly with our bed, it’s quite easy to fold down and it comes with a bag to easily store it. It doesn’t feel too sturdy though and baby can quite easily shake it. But at least no more rolling off!

Great if slightly too long
This is perfect for a bed with a thick mattress. The length of 140 is a but too long as i was using this so my little one would not fall of the bed, but the hight of 60 was perfect for the tall mattress. I just about was able to fold down as the bed was not very high. As it’s so long, in order to fold it i had to click one button at a time as i could not reach both. It assembled and unassembled well, and packs down small. All in all, it did the job perfectly for us and i would recommend

Sturdy and quick to put together!
I saw that the reviews so was weary on the putting together part as I saw some mixed opinions.Despite some of the reviews, I found the instructions clear and it was simple to put together. I’m not that strong though so I did need some help clicking one part in.

Wish it had come assembled
The bed rail looks great and fitted well to the grandparents' double divan bed with a 30cm deep mattress. The only negative was that it didn't come assembled. It was quite tricky to figure out how to assemble and the instructions didn't have enough images. Would have liked each component to be labelled rather than try to figure out what each bit was. In fairness, I am not great with flat pack and self assembling either. Got grandpa to assemble it in the end and he also didn't find it straight forward. Hopefully the more times we assemble, the easier it will get.

Cannot understand a single bad review!
After reviewing multiple bed guards and getting worried about the number of negative reviews I went ahead and bought this and it does not disappoint. I cannot understand the bad reviews?!1. It fits my king size divan bed perfectly (it has a deep mattress2. It folds the full 180 degrees so when it is folded down you can barely notice it under the duvet3. If you watch the YouTube video it takes no more than 10 minutes to assembleThere are lots of reviews saying it doesn't fold all the way down but it does. I can only imagine they did not assemble properly. At first I did put two parts the wrong way round so it didn't fold properly but I simply switched them over and it worked perfectly.Great product and definitely worth the money

Good product but worst assembly instructions ever.
This is a good product - it's solid and easy to use. BUT only three stars since it has the most appalling assembly instructions I've ever come across. The pictorial guide is useless; the pictures don't show much and the instructions along side are vague. To make matters worse, part way through the letters that refer to the parts change to letters that have no related part. Assembly was so frustrating and I had to take parts apart and reposition them several times until I got something that worked. Come on Safetots - try taking the same care over assembly instructions that you do over your products.

I hope this helps
Okay so I hope this helps, I was dreading putting this up after reading the reviews. I ditched the instructions and headed straight to a YouTube video... to my surprise after following the video to a T and wondering why he hadn’t show the guard folded down this man had actually put it together wrong (Lesson learnt- always read YouTube comments first!) and it wouldn’t fold, I took it apart again and decided to look at the instructions. My parts weren’t labelled but I know peoples have been labelled incorrectly so maybe that caused the confusion? I mean the pictures aren’t great either but after watching the YouTube video I knew what went where apart from the folding part was obviously on wrong so between the two I managed it. So something the note, the big round sticky out bits go AWAY from the mattress, not into the mattress, that’s where I went wrong and I think others have to! I have uploaded a few pictures so you can see what it’s supposed to look like. I think people having problems with folding have this part the wrong way. It does fold straight down if you get it right.1st tip-On the very first stage doing the top L shaped bars, don’t pull the fabric over the corners until you’ve connected the bar first.2nd tip- the big round folding mechanism needs to be facing away from the mattress, so on the outside of the bed, not towards the baby/child.3rd tip- if the fabric is really stiff to get on and you are pulling it a lot to make the bars fit, somethings wrong (I did this the first time)4th tip- make sure the fabric is the right way round, there’s 2 holes, one for the bending mechanism thing and another slightly above, where the side bars click together, these should be facing on the outside of the guard, away from the mattress.5th tip- when you are building it and you get to the stage of the bottom middle bar, you will be building the guard facing the wrong way for the mechanism to work (I hope this makes sense) so when you are attaching the short bars with the two ends on (letter A in instructions, the ones with the straps screwed into them) put them on backwards so they are sticking out away from you and not towards you.***edit***I have now put it on the bed and the attachment is just a few mm short of fixing to my super king bed so I’m going to use something else to fix. It comes up really high on my really thick mattress so would 100% recommend.I hope this helps someone & makes things a little easier x
