A Sound Upgrade - Aiyima T9 Pro
I recently decided to upgrade my Aiyima T9 amplifier to the newer T9 Pro model, and I must say, the improvements have exceeded my expectations. Not only has the upgraded sound quality impressed me (better quality components, better tube’s and more control over the audio), but the added Bluetooth 5.1 capability and overall build quality have made this a worthy investment. In this review, I'll detail my experiences with the Aiyima T9 Pro and explain why I think it's a an amazing retro style tube amplifier and a fantastic upgrade for anyone considering it. What’s in the Box: Aiyima have provided lots of extras in the box with the amplifier, include a nice USB cable (the T9 Pro has an upgraded DAC - one that is easily the equal of a dedicated DAC of a similar price) and an optical cable (I have being using the T9 Pro with a Wiim Mini Streamer via Optical) and a USB key (with Windows drivers for the DAC - not needed on a Mac). You also get the 2 separate tubes and this should be inserted into the amplifier - it’s actually allot of fun connecting everything. Sound Quality: The sound quality of the T9 Pro is a noticeable step up from its predecessor (and that means an upgrade over most amplifiers at this price point). The Aiyima T9 Pro has noticeable better “harmonic” sound than the T9, I believe this is the mixture of better internal components and provided tubes (see the comparison diagram attached) and the better default tubes provided in the box. I found this lead to a much wider sound stage and better a better separation of individual instruments, which makes listening to my favourite tracks an more immersive experience. Not only comparing the sound to the T9 but comparing the T9 Pro to my much more expensive Denon AmplifIer is a joy (with the same speakers and subwoofer), have given me a newfound appreciation for my music library. Bluetooth Capability: One of the standout features of the T9 Pro is its new Bluetooth capability. The T9 Pro offers a seamless wireless connection, and I haven't experienced any drops or interference while using it. This feature has made it incredibly easy to stream music from my smartphone, tablet, or other Bluetooth-enabled devices. Plus, the T9 Pro supports aptX, ensuring high-quality audio streaming. Build and Features: The overall build quality and the retro look of the T9 Pro is another aspect that has impressed me. The chassis feels sturdy and gives the amplifier a premium feel. The front panel features a sleek and modern design, I love the new digital display that shows the current input source and volume level and the Volume. While the VU meter on the righthand side provides a lovely retro feel to this amplifiler. The control knobs have a smooth and responsive feel, making it easy to adjust the volume and fine-tune the sound to my preferences. The T9 Pro offers multiple input options, including Bluetooth, USB, AUX, coaxial and optical. Moreover, the T9 Pro has a new built-in DAC that is much higher quality that before (I believe the term is transparent with up to 24bit/192Khz), which can significantly improves the sound quality when using super high definition digital sources like USB from a computer. I believe this DAC is close to start of the art for DAC’s so no real reason to get a separate DAC. Some Pros and Cons compared to other ampfliers: Pros: 1. Love the upgraded sound - better internals / more power / better tubes 2. The digital display is fantastic compliment to the VU meter 3. I love the bass and treble controls 4. The remote is great and you can tweak the bass and treble easily with the remote control. 5. Even though it has the same ampflieri chip as the original T9 I believe the better components and the better power supply provided means it plays louder if you want Cons: 1. Compared to similar sounding but more expensive amplifiers it is missing a headphone jack and Phono MM inputs (for turntables with pre-amps) 2. The bluetooth while perfectly fine is not as good as the digital inputs IMO - I would rarely use bluetooth but it is nice to have feature Conclusion: In conclusion, with the Aiyima T9 Pro amplifier I believe almost everything has been improved over the original T9. This is now a viable amplifier alternative to much more expensive €300 or €400 amplifiers. The lovely “warm” sound provided by the tubes added to the better internals has been a fantastic upgrade from my previous T9 model. I wholeheartedly recommend the T9 Pro to anyone looking to upgrade their amplifier or wanting a versatile and high-quality audio solution.

Worth the investment if you have good speakers.
This thing is tiny but I love it. I run two 100W active speakers from a company called Celestion. One thing I would say, it gets quite warm especially if you have the sun shining on it. I t wont be such a problem in Winter but I recommend buying this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0C23XMG9V?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 The amp is so tiny it sits right on top and the fan will keep it absolutely chilled. Bluetooth is super, I was anxious to use it and thought I'd get digital artefacts but the sound is crystal clear and it connects instantly. It does come with an optical cable, that would have been my next choice if I was unable to use BT. I love the look of these tubes protruding. Sound is amazing. Hope it doesn't break once the warranty expires :/

Small and very powerful. Excellent in detail, sound stage and base.
This is a supremely excellent tiny Chinese amp. There are a good range of inputs, including Bluetooth. It comes with a half decent remote. It fits on my work desktop perfect. It powers some Wharfedale 9.1 speakers effortlessly. It provides a spacious and detailed sound stage, with outstanding clear base response. The best thing about it? There are actually several things.... Firstly, it sits there about a fifth of the size of a regular amp taking up an absolutely tiny space. Its attractive looking; copper rings around a 70s style VU meter and an 80's style led display. There are also valves that light up a nice orange, especially in a darkened room. I honestly don't know what those valves do... but I do know that the unit will work without them, but they don't sound half as good... The big thing? I reckon I've got a decent HiFi system.... that fits on a very limited desktop space! Secondly, beyond the small scale beauty of its looks , its seriously connectable. I've teamed mine with a switching preamp so I can get more RCA inputs. But it also comes with optical, coaxial, USB and BT inputs for your digital sources. Also a nice remote thats more than a credit card sized piece of naffness you often find with stuff from China. Thirdly.... the sound! I remember, in my 20's, taking out a loan to buy my first HiFi rig. Memorable! I went to a local store, listened in their listening rooms, considered and deliberated, and finally invested. I think if I was to evaluate and reflect back in time from my first act of commitment to audio, then amps basically are about as good as they always were . Sources (CD, Phono, computer etc) haven't really changed, especially in the digital age, and are about the same in terms of accurate reproduction. (Many talk about warmth, created by valves, created by phono..... I don't subscribe... digital is fine..). BUT...speakers are vastly, VASTLY improved. Nowadays I don't need to take out a loan to buy HiFi. Nowadays I've realised that being an audiophile is not a technical thing; its about finding YOUR music and enjoying it on a system YOU enjoy, That's all there is to it! Don't spend thousands! Don't feel you need to! This little beast will help you out. It looks great, it sounds great. It will connect to whatever you need it to. It will not let you down in terms of quality. It comes with a big 32 volt power supply. You will not believe the power this delivers from that power supply if that is your thing. At lower levels it is as clear, accurate, warm and harmonious, like the sky on a beautiful spring day...

Aiyima T9Pro Review
This product has both excellent sound quality and total versatility. It can be used with an analog line in from a cd player or analog phono stage or it can accept a digital input from a cd players co-ax out or optical out or you can plug in a small digital audio player via its usb. The T9 pro uses its internal ESS 9018 Dac to convert all of these digital inputs to analog and then outputs this via its poweramp to the speakers. There seems to be a synergy between the input valve stage and the output class D Poweramp which sounds so luscious but at the same time detailed and involving. The inclusion of tone controls for bass and treble allows for easy adjustment in tonality but does not detract from the sound quality in any way. It sounds great with the tone controls both set at zero. Overall the sound is big and very 3 dimensional. This has to be the best bargain in HI-Fi for £178. An excellent product and highly recommended.

Very nice warm sound, though treble can be increased to your liking, multiple input points, good quality remote, high quality product according to price point. Must buy. The tubes provided are appropriate though could've been better for much better sound, like those suggested in the product details, though it would've increased the price, so no complaints at the price point. Compared to A08Pro, T9Pro has more melodic and warm sound though the chipset of A08Pro is better and newer and A08Pro supports higher power and hence higher volume and thus A08Pro is better for much higher powered speakers as it also supports 48V power supply. The T9Pro does not support 48V power supply hence will not be loud enough for high power speakers, but sound will be good enough.

Having oned an Aiyima T9 Pro at home for a few months, I decided to trade in the Sonos installation at our café for a small audio system consisting of two T9's (to cater to the two separate spaces in our establishment) and a Wiim Ultra (to be further enhanced with a turntable and -maybe- a cd player in the future). Completing this setup are two Wharfedale- and 2 Sony speakers, and a Argon sub. We've been working with this system for a few weeks now. Not only does this setup regularly evoke admiring reactions from our customers for its sleek looks (especially the tubes), it also stands out for its excellent sound qualities, way outperforming our previous Sonos setup. And all of this for a grand total that's lower than a Beam and two Play Ones. Aiyima really outdid themselves with this excellent little amplifier, which far outperforms its price. Very, very highly recommended!
