Makes a neat hole in sheet metal. Requires a 0.525” pilot hole in order to do the job. So you’ll want to buy a 9/16” drill bit to make the pilot hole.

Successfully punched a clean and proper size hole in a vertical storage cabinet.

If you need to punch a whole in an electrical panel for a 1/2" romex connector this is the tool.

Too much play in the alignment of the outer part of this cutting set. The inside cutter can easily catch outside the intended cutting path, causing a missed cut, a damaged part and a stuck tool.

The ½” sleeve does not fit over the threaded spindle, so it cannot be used. The metal is hardened, so drilling the hole bigger is impossible. The threads worked, but not smoothly. In working them back and forth to get them to be smooth, I for d the threads were so sharp, that it cut my finger. I would not recommend this item and have returned mine for a refund.

I never did use this tool. Who knows, it might work great! I had purchased it as a backup for the 1/2" K/O cutter in our Greenlee knockout kit. This will not work with the Greenlee ratcheting handle. It is a stand-alone Knockout cutter.
