Interlogix DesignLine Crystal Wireless Garage Door Sensor (TX-8010-01-1)

Works just as expected. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because it's not really great in ultra cold temps. This was added to a FrontPoint Security system.

Works perfectly with our security solution

Works just fine for me. I pair it with my Frontpoint security system and have never had any problems with false positives after a few months now.I'm located in Northern California so extreme weather is rare, which I have heard can be the cause of these acting up.

So, I read the good reviews and I read the bad reviews. I figured, ahhh people are probably hooking it up wrong or something. They must be, because there are good reviews of the product...right?Read the reviews everyone has posted. This thing works great the first day you install it. In fact, it works great the first week it's installed. Then all of a sudden, your door starts saying it's open when it's not. The product is garbage. It's just a terrible design.Something happens inside the sensor mechanism, whether it gathers condensation from temp changes, whether it just wears out, wears in, whatever happens... it doesn't matter. The fact is, if you buy it, it's going to work for a week, then it's going to cause you nothing but problems.DON'T BUY IT THINKING THAT IT'S GOING TO WORK OK FOR YOU OR THAT YOU'RE GOING TO GET A 'GOOD ONE'.

works perfectly with my frontpoint system and was much cheaper than the sensor they have for sale. I have it set up to alert me when the garage door has been open longer than 10 minutes.

I figured all the reviews had to be wrong. How could a company put out a product that is so bad? Well the reviews were correct. All I wanted was a sensor to inform me if the garage was left open. This sensor did that for three days. Then one night we opened the door and shut it. A little later we get the email that the garage was left open. After checking the garage was closed but the alarm was still reading it as open. I removed the cover for the sesor and reinstalled it. This "fix" worked for a day then again after opening and closing the door the sensor got stuck in the open position. I am in Phoenix in October, the weather could not be any better, so I can not believe temperature played a part in these failures. This part will be going back. It is too bad the such a simple sensor has so many issues.

Worked great with existing alarm system at half the price as compared to buying directly from alarm service provider.
