It's very easy to do (so my plumber tells me) and make a possibly messy job easy. It is important to drain the radiator at least half empty before adding the inhibitor to avoid spilling. Once the inhibitor is added then remove the filler and replace the plug and then turn on the radiator to fill. Air will be added to the system so some bleeding may be necessary. **Q: Is the 1/2 inch fitting standard? I have some old radiators that I thought may have a different fitting.** A: I would say it will fit 95%.
