The original and best
The classic, removes oil, grease, grime, enamel paint and more without scouring. I prefer this to the orange type and have used it ever since I started servicing and fixing my first car 50 years ago. Possibly a little large for home use but good value.

An old classic that does what is says ... it works!
Swarfega is a bit of nostalgia for me! My dad used it when we were kids for cleaning our oil covered hands if we'd been messing with our bikes, and he always had it about for cleaning his own hands after dad-jobs. It also got stains out of clothing and marks of other items. When it arrived it was just as I remembered: a smell I always loved, and the beautiful green gel that somehow does this weird little 'vibration' in the pot! And it cleaned as it always did. However ... I bought it again to see if it could tackle a specific job; and it does! I have an Apple watch in yellow and my previous light coloured strap suffered from picking up stains - in particularly biro ink - and no matter what I tried (even having trawled the internet) nothing seemed to be able to clean it properly. So, I'd wondered about Swarfega ... and it cleans it beautifully, getting off all the grime (including ink, although sometimes you have to leave it on for a while). If you want to try it, firstly set your watch to exclude water (you're not going to wet the watch, but it just protects it). Then, take an old toothbrush and gently apply Swarfega to the strap with the brush; don't get it on the watch. If you've got a bad stain on the strap just leave it for a while with the Swarfega on it. Then, carefully rinse both parts of the strap (don't wet the watch) and wipe with a tissue/cloth ... your grime should be removed! Then, press the crown of the watch to run the expel water function and you're done. So, apart from the usual 'hand-cleaning' that Swarfega has always done brilliantly, it should hopefully help clean your watch strap! (**Do accept your own responsibility if you choose to try this: try a test spot in an area not visible first and accept this is like an internet recommendation - you do it at your own risk. Because it worked for me it may not for you).

I checked it was launched in 1947.
I'm over 60 now so have used this since I was a kid helping my dad with car and workshop stuff. It's always done the job required, cleans off oil dirt and more. There's a bit of nostalgia in this product for me. If I smell it it takes me back to days long gone. Not sure if there's something nowadays that outperforms Swarfega original but the very fact that I've used it for over half a century and it's still available means a lot. It just works!

Good stuff
Better than soap at removing layers of dry acrylic paint and leaves my hands soft. This one is unscented and Doesn’t have the exfoliating grains I remembered when I had it last, maybe a different version and also the whole exfoliating thing got an environmental thumbs down a few years back. It’s good stuff though and I’ll get it again

Great for Workshop Hands
It does exactly what it says on the tub. Great for removing oil and grease from your hands. Used sparingly it is very cost effective

Safe and mild, yet affective. Used it to clean grime and dirt from old sewing machines without damaging finish. I recommend this product to hobbiest for restoration projects.

The gel is bright green and reasonably solid, it does not smell like I remember it used to. I am certain the old product I used many many years ago was a mixture of red/green and definitely smelled more of "solvents". I am not certain when the products composition was changed but this is not the same as I remember using in the UK all those years ago. I have yet to try it and see if it is as good as it used to be.
