Do I need to have a tray with an electric grill that has a coil do I just put them in the bottom

Need wire grate over the coil to lay the grill briquettes on.

They are made in the USA by the Du-Co Ceramics Company, anyone saying otherwise is a crank who doesn't check their facts.

How does this product (tiles) compare to ceramic briquettes?

They are ceramic briquettes that you can line up on your grill. Mine cover teh entire grill area. They are great. the food dropping land on them and burn off. Beneath these tiles is the burner units which remain relatively clean. These tiles can break as they are ceramioc but once in place they are stable and fine as they l;ock each other in place if they cover your whole grill. Check your square inches that would be needed and cover it all.
