Road Refresher Prestige Non Spill Pet Water Bowl, Grey, Large , Pack of 1

Very very good bowl. I wanted our dog to have water on the move in our campervan and this is the perfect solution. Originally I was using traditional dog bowl and it was a nightmare, even when not on the move one of us would step on it and we would have spillages daily. It's robust, spill proof (litrally I have to hold upside down and tilt around to empty) and perfect for cars etc to make sure there's always water avaliable. Our dog isn't greedy but I can imagine this will help also with a dog that is greedy splashing around because it allows only a certain amount at a time which is good. Other reviews mention the black peice struggle to pull off, not sure why you would need to pull it off aside from occasional clean and no issues with this my end. Highly reccomend this product its well worth money for anyone who's dog travels with them.

I still cannot believe that the lady who invented this product was turned down by the investors on Dragons Den. I understand she has gone on to sell in huge numbers, especially in the USA, and I can see why. This product really works for our dog and he quickly got used to drinking when on the move. It does exactly what they said it would and I have yet to find a drop spilt whilst driving around. The ingenious internal floating plate only allows a small amount into the bowl at any one time and then lowers to let more water up from the bottom. I am so pleased that, especially on hotter days (when we get them!), our dog can rehydrate anytime without us having to stop en-route. The large version has a generous 1.4 L capacity and we have found that adding a few ice cubes is not a problem as long as you don't exceed the fill level. So simple yet so effective. Wish we had been able to get one years ago for our previous dog and prevented the many incidents of slopped water in the car down the years. If your dog takes to it, I don't believe that there is anything out there, quite as good as the Road Refresher.

This is by far the best no spill water bowl we’ve had. We have a Doodle, hairy face with a beard, he drips like a hippo and this has cut that down by 80% I used to dab his face after each drink even though we had a lapping bowl but not now. The float device is one piece where as our old one came apart and allowed water to seep in which could get mouldy if you let it. This bowl is so easy to clean, it’s robust and should last years.

Amazing, perfect for the car, we take the dogs on a lot of car journeys and this is perfect for travelling I find it hard to get the black rim off so have to use a butter knife to lift it. Easy to clean when it’s apart, doesn’t tip or spill when in the car, unless the puppy puts her foot in it A good solid bowl

The best designs are the simplest and this is on inspection quite a simple design but it's brilliantly effective. On car journeys it doesn't spill, not on the motorway, not on roundabouts, not when braking. It's sturdy and solid and even when the dog does manage to bash into it, it doesn't spill. The bowl comes with velcro pads and sticky pads but it's steady enough that I've not needed these. It recently had its biggest test when the dog rushed through my legs as I went down steps. I stumbled and the bowl flew into the air and landed upside down on the pavement. I took a few moments to regain my balance and pick it up, sure I'd need to refill it. The outer ring had popped off, yet amazingly it was still more than half full. The bowl stores more than enough water for a day so my dog has a constant supply of water without me topping it up all day, unlike most bowls. Because of the design the water stays clean as anything dropped in (like food, biscuits, etc) just stay on the top and don't mix with the water below. The design also stops the dog gulping down her water too fast and she's learnt to slow down, whereas before with other bowls she'd rush and suffer hiccups and be gagging afterwards. This is now the only bowl I use for the dog's water. We take it with us everywhere and she uses it at home too. It's been worth every penny and I'd recommend it to anyone.

My only criticism of this product is that because I do not have much upper body strength, I find it extremely difficult to remove the top part of the bowl. I have to call upon other people to remove the top for me. Other than that, this is an amazing product. We have a cockapoo, with long fur, he has an outstanding beard, unfortunately when he drinks from a conventional bowl water gets everywhere. However, since buying Road Refresher Prestige Non Spill Pet Water Bowl, his beard doesn't get quite so wet, and my kitchen floor is no longer a slip hazard. I highly recommend this product, although I recommend you have a strong person to remove the top.

I have several these. At first I bought one for the car as we travel a lot and have four collies. It does exactly as it says and allows you to carry a bowlful of water in the car without it 'swishing' out over the sides wetting everything. The dogs always have a supply of fresh water on our travels. Make sure you take it apart completely to clean to prevent bacteria building up below the water trap. After success in the car we decided to buy another for the house as our dogs liked to play a game of tipping the water over with their paw. They can't do this with this water bowl even when tipped it still holds the water, in fact they have tipped it completely upside down before when more or less full and it only let out a very small amount of water. Great product well worth the money

My dog, love her that I do, can be a real tinker at times. Not least when she’s drinking from her water bowl. She is at her happiest when she’s splashing the contents across the kitchen floor and then paddling it throughout the house. Bless her. The Road Refresher non-spill bowl drastically reduces this behaviour. What you’ll receive is a bowl of three-part construction. The reservoir is a stand plastic bowl holding a good volume of water. You fill to the marked max line, and then place a floating plastic top inside the bowl. This sits on the surface of the water with a few holes in the middle through which the water seeps through. It allows enough water for your dog to comfortably drink from, and reduces their ability to splash around in the bowl. A third piece of black plastic snaps over the top to form a rim preventing the floating piece from being removed and also further reducing splashing. In operation the bowl works exceptionally well. It doesn’t entirely eliminate water around the bowl as the dog can still put a paw in and paddle it around, but it significantly reduces the volume of water. The bowl is sturdy and comes with Velcro pads underneath which reduces it being dragged around by demanding dogs. Such is the capabilities of this bowl I also have on that I keep on the back seat of the car where our dog travels. Even with the rake of the seat squab it doesn’t allow over-spilling. If I have a criticism, I would say that the black rim/lid can be difficult to remove, although it is freeing up with continued use, but this is only a minor issue with an otherwise excellent and problem-solving product.

This is a great dog's bowl, Especially fabulous for trips in the car, but also useful at home. My last one lasted 20 years.

Excellent ! Mon intérieur me dit MERCI ! Je complète avec une gamelle en extérieur. Ceci est une gamelle d’appoint , le chien (surtout s’il est grand!) ne peut pas vraiment boire à sa guise. (Chien de 60Kg) n’hésitez pas , ça limite VRAIMENT l’effet piscine intérieure.

I was so tired of coming home from work every day and finding that my dog pushed all of his blankets into his water bowl. This required me to wash and dry his bedding every day! The dog did not understand how to use a water bottle, so I was torn. I did not know what to do and I did not want a thirsty dog in a cage all day. While looking for a solution, I found the Road Refresher. While it took a little while to get here (it is not being shipped from the US), it was worth it. I showed my dog how to use it and put it in his cage with fresh bedding. Even though my dog still kicks his bedding around, it never lands in the bowl because of the design. The rim keeps the blankets out and even if they do make it in, they are slightly damp because this controls the amount of water on the surface. I am a very satisfied customer!

Though I don't particularly like the looks of this bowl, it does serve it's purpose. Our dog drinks way to much in one go which causes him to vomit on occasion, and we really have to watch his drinking. With this bowl it's almost impossible for him to drink to much in one go, keeping him from vomiting and overdrinking. Besides that he drools less using this bowl. Win-win!
