Jolly Phonics is a FANTASTIC, EFFECTIVE and FUN program! This book is a valuable asset to the program!
Concise, to the point, clear and well laid out lessons. Great ideas for not only reading, but spelling, etc. Love this book! It's a great accompaniment! My children love the Jolly Phonics program. My middle child easily learned with the program, and loved it, as well! I purchased the 3 student books to go along with this book, as well as the hardboard book of Jolly Stories, and all of the readers. There are also free readers that you can download and print, if you like, or read on either a tablet or computer on the SPELD website. The readers go in the Jolly Phonics teaching order and are wonderful and FREE! We listen to the Jolly Songs with American accent, and it completes the program. When the principles of the teaching methods are applied to the program, you will also greatly aid in helping them to spell and to learn to proper letter formation, as well as read. Synthetic phonics programs are wonderful, and Jolly Phonics makes it both effective AND fun! Add in a few fun games (we play Jolly Bingo that I downloaded free from the internet) and a JP Tricky word fishing game I also made, and you have children really enjoying learning to read. :-)
