Josh Wood Hair Gloss Champagne Blonde, Semi-Permanent Toner, Vegan, 100ml

I wasn’t sure about ordering this as it is expensive, but I’m really impressed. I used the champagne blonde shade on my level 8 blonde hair with highlights and my own grey (white!) hair growing through. It’s really taken the icy whiteness off the greys, by giving them a really sheer golden colour and blending them with the highlights. And it’s made my hair feel really smooth and has added a lovely shine. There is enough product left for at least another 2 applications, so cost per use isn’t as high as I thought.

I always use Josh Wood hair dye but thought I’d try the hair gloss, as I’m finding I’m dying my hair every month now. When I saw this I thought, let’s give it a go and was hoping for good things, to cover my blonde/grey hair. I followed the instructions on the box and when I rinsed it off, my lighter sections of my hair were yellow.. literally bright yellow! It was awful and when I dried my hair, the yellow had taken to most of the front of my hair!! I couldn’t leave the house, as it was, so I washed my hair three times and it’s now a lighter yellow.. thank goodness. I’ll stick with the hair dye in future!!!

I am naturally dark brown but bleach my hair blonde. After my last root bleach my hair was slightly uneven in colour. The toner that I used left me with some purple streaks. I used this product and it has made my hair such a lovely colour. I would definitely recommend it. My hair was also so soft. Just to note that I did leave it on for 30 minutes, not the 10 minutes it suggests on the packaging.

This made my hair very shiny and glossy which is why I have given it 4 stars but it did absolutely nothing to the colour as far as I could see. I have mousy dark blonde hair and expected it to lift the colour a bit but really couldn't see any difference at all. I am using it all up (my hair is short so there are several treatments in 1 bottle) but probably wouldn't bother to buy it again. It is good if you're just looking to make your hair glossy.

Hair came out so shinny and lovely colour

I’m growing out my yellow coloured hair as I’m going grey - white at the front and 50/50 all over . I used to be a warm natural blonde . This product is helping to tint my now 5 inch roots to warm them up and creat less of a difference ( long hair ). This is the problem - firstly I have to leave on for 40 minutes or more , secondly , despite using nigh on cold water , it barely lasts one wash , so either I only wash my hair once a week , or , I have to colour weekly , which is expensive and time consuming. . JOSH WOOD !!!! I’d like a similar product which sticks to white hair better without being permanent

This is a nice product, but it can’t stop coloured hair from frying. The bottle has been cut down to 100 ml and the price increased, which already feels disappointing. But the real issue is the conditioner that comes with JW’s own hair‑dye kits that would be used alongside. It was reformulated recently, and the new version is so weak it breaks the entire system—the conditioner is supposed to lock in colour, yet it’s now useless even for a short pixie cut. It’s a tiny amount, doesn’t cover, and tangles hair. JW’s customer service is still lovely, but the products have slipped from outstanding to barely functional. The gloss isn’t a colouring product; it’s okay for de‑brassing, and doesn’t lock colour, as JW advise this to be through their conditioner. They sell miracle mask as a separate (and probably hope to see more). However a large quantity doesn’t allow brushing through. So.. this product does one enemy but the rest falls down

Really pleased with this. It's just what I was after for my hair in-between salon visits for a colour boost. It does gradually wash out, so no commitment or 'tram' lines. On my white hair, it goes a nice soft light blonde, which for me is perfect, as it temporarily blends in with the rest of my hair. Once dry, my hair is really soft and shiny after. I purchased them for the same price as that well known high street chemists were selling them for, so very pleased.
