How to fit to 2016 (mk 2) Hyundai i20 SE in rear doors: If you have found this review it's because you want to benefit from the addition of rear door speakers to the standard front speaker only setup in the SE pre-revision model. First you need to know that as well as the speakers you need to buy fitment rings. They are available from car audio specialists via the well known auction site, at less than 15 GBP for a pair. The speakers come with 8 screws that can be used to attach to the rings. You will need 3x short, fat screws to fit the rings to each door. I found the screws you use to fit hinges to kitchen cabinets were perfect. Removing door card is simple. There are two screws, one by the door release handle under a flap and the other under the rubber mat in the hole in the arm rest. Once screws are removed use a soft plastic lever to get behind the door card, starting in the bottom corner nearest the hinge, and gently pull the door card away from the door. Once you have been around the bottom half of the door and felt the panel unclip, you can lift the door card off. Once you unclip the electrical connector, you can put the door panel to one side. The SE model has speaker wiring as part of the wiring loom. If you look carefully at the loom, you'll see the speaker wiring connector is taped to the loom. Undo the tape and you'll have enough length on the wiring to pass it back though the door and position behind the hole for the speaker. Next screw the speaker to the ring. Fit the parts together and offer up to the door before screwing together so that the ring is the correct orientation. You can see from my picture it only fits one way. You may need to trim the inside edge of the ring with a Dremel to ensure an even and snug fit. Next make the electrical connection between wiring loom and speaker. You may need to remove the black plastic from the connector unless you can find the right plug in connector to fix to the speaker wiring. I didn't find a significant difference in sound based on correct or incorrect polarity. If you wanted to check the wire colours to ensure +/- is correct you'd need to find this from Hyundai. Test the speaker works at this stage. You'll need to play with the F/R fader setting to send signal to the rear speaker. Next screw the speaker fitment ring to the car door. Make sure it's nice and tight so there's no vibration. You can then replace the door card. Do the same on the other side! The balance between front and rear speakers is good and the power output of the head unit is sufficient to allow a high maximum volume without distortion. Frequency response is good, and bass is sufficient. This turns a good set up into a better one, without breaking the bank and without damaging or altering the standard look. Go for it!

Second time lucky. I purchased some cheap JBL speakers and they were terrible I returned them and purchased 4 of these for front and rear doors. (6.5 inch) after doing a lot more research. These have by far the biggest frequency range of any speakers I could find and they are the best value for money. 40w is the RMS so you really need an amp that can put put some decent Watts because OEM and aftermarket stereos only have very low Root mean square (RMS) output so your speakers will always sound bad without. I also purchased a Vibe 65.4 amp and in phase 150w RMS underseat subwoofer... I am very happy withy decision now I have an incredible sound system! Quality and volume all in one.

My car speakers in my MX5 finally bit the dust - literally - they had decayed and the suspension had gone. So wanted speakers that would sound reasonable and crucially would fit the doors without too much alteration to the metalwork. These sound pretty good (other reviews mention bass response which is a bit muffled - but what do you expect from a small speaker?) and have a multiplicity of fixing cut outs, one set of which fit the three door fixing screw holes in my Mk1 (1991). Can now hear the music without the grating buzz. Did the job perfectly. Not super-fi sound but pretty good in a car which isn't exactly a sound studio.

Excellent product for the price! Remember these are the 3-way speakers: bass is very good ( I actually planned to buy a sub to cater for the low frequencies, not anymore, it is good enough for me). High frequencies are better than my existing ( older) standalone tweeters - I will disconnect those old ones as they only spoil the sound. Folks looking for high-end speakers costing £45 - you are in the wrong shop, set your expectations right. Very good product with surprisingly good low range for its price/size. Ah, about packaging: the inner OEM box appeared slightly damaged (deformed corners and small scratches: fell off the shelves?) , the content though was pefectly fine.

Look and sound fantastic, the connection cables that come with them are great quality too.

they look nice and have a much better sound but lacks a lot of bass i like to have bass in my songs and i was sad to fine that these do not have a lot and i will need to get a sub to fill my songs if you like bass i would look at better speakers but the for the prise there ok

Changed the front speakers on my Hyundai i40 and was shocked by the improvement. Watch the video.

Good speakers. Balance of price and performance for situation where component kit is not suitable but additional bass is used. Would not use them as main drivers as low frequencies are not prominent enough.

Tout est ok pour le produit. Bon son, installation facile. J'ai trouvé l'emballage trop léger. Pas de sur carton, juste le très fin carton du produit. Arrivé déchiré sur les bords mais produit intact heureusement.

Le casse vengono spedite in uno scatolone di cartone con dentro della carta per tenere a sua volta fermo il pacco delle casse che si trova all'interno, mi aspettavo un imballaggio migliore, fatto sta che le casse sono arrivate integre e senza problemi, per adesso non sono riuscito a montarle effettivamente, ho solo forato il pannello del copri bagagliaio, esteticamente sono perfette, bisogno solo sentire il suono se andrà bene, ma conoscendo Amazon credo proprio di sì! OTTIMO LAVORO! CONSIGLIO!
