EASY TO CLEAN and holds a lot of water
The most important feature for me is how easy this is to clean! The pump attachment removes so easily (it's just suction cupped down) and there just aren't that many nooks and crannies - it's super easy to wipe out, wash out, and does great in the dishwasher (the bowl part and housing, not the electric part, of course). I would totally buy this again.

Holds a lot of water
We have two big thirsty dogs, this fountain fit the need. Pros: ceramic cleans easily and can be sanitized in dishwasher.I noticed there’s less water on the floor, the wide basin catches the drips.Cons: pump died in 6 months.Ceramic basin is heavy when filled, difficult to carry and balance water, so we have to make several trips for one refill. Filter doesn’t do anything to catch and filter dirt and dog hair…water is difficult to keep clean…for such a heavy basin it’s cumbersome to have to carry, empty, clean and refill several times a week.Major con: the pump died at exactly 6 months & a replacement pump (different brand) costs $20!

Loved it....until the pump stopped working then it became an expensive bowl
When it was functional, it was great! It was quiet, held a larger volume of water, and was ceramic. However, the pump stopped working 14 months later, and now it is just a heavy and hard-to-clean bowl.

Best fountain ever!
I’ve purchased several fountains over the years and this one is the best ever…you don’t even hear it. My cats and dogs all love it and it’s pretty :)

The pump is weak
The pump is so weak it barley has the power to push the water out of the top of the spout to circulate the water. I am going to have to find a better fountain for my dogs because I have noticed that there water intake has decreased. Very disappointing!!

Unit is very heavy, but doesn’t have the design flaws of the competition
I researched filtered water bowls for days. Every design except this one was a clog hazard. (That is, if the filter clogged, the units would keep pumping water and it would go all over the floor.) That’s because the filter was on the “return” side. This unit has the filter on the “intake” side. So if it clogs, water flow will simply stop. Changing the filters is a bit of a pain, but not horrible. The housing has a tube inside that fits into a rubber gasket at the top of the pump. You assemble that by “feel.” Fairly trivial, but a bit tricky. Now, this unit is HEAVY, and being glass (ceramic), prone to breakage if dropped. I am physically challenged, so picking up a half full unit off the floor to empty and clean is painful. I’m going to need to get a step or something to set it on so I can do that with less difficulty.Water flow through the pump is “lazy” at best. The filtration is in effect “two stage,” and uses little postage stamp sized filter elements. You only get two stage-two and one stage-one filter with the initial buy; a box of filters is $18.95.The pump is able to be completely opened and disassembled down to its component parts. Replacement parts and pumps appear to be available at the vendor’s store. The pump is very quiet. I can’t hear it run at all.The biggest issue I have is that the dogs don’t really see it as a water bowl, since they’re used to drinking out of round stainless steel bowls. Secondarily, the unit is very expensive compared to other devices, but then, it doesn’t have the design flaws of the competition.

The best dog water bowl ever!
So quiet you will not even know it’s on, a breeze to clean, doesn’t get slimy like the plastic ones, and all 4 of my dogs can drink out of it without having to refill everyday!
