2x hippo water saver - save money on water bills every toilet cistern flush

What a Brilliant idea. They save your water bill! Highly recommend if your on a meter

Very simple idea but, the best ideas are usually simple ones. Seems to work fine and takes less water to refil your cistern. If on a water meter will pay for themselves very quickly.

So i have effectively paid for 2 small plastic parcel bags. Not what I expected at all. But I thought ok give it a go!!! Its not even square you have to make it square, too big for my cistern, so had to fold it down. Really doesn't save that much water tbh. Really disappointed, no I wouldn't recommend and def would not buy it again. A big fail for me!!!

I got some free ones from South West Water which were a bit smaller. These are a tiny bit bigger but everything still flushes (got 3 kids) but sometimes toilet roll is left if kids use too much. Definitely a water saver if u resist re-flushing!

These are great to put in the cistern of older toilets, that do not have the option for a dual flush. These actually go in the cistern and reduce the amount of water used in flushing , saving water . Great buy .

I don’t think I’ve ever paid so much for what are 2 plastic bags, I thought they’d be weighted or have gel in, not very impressed

Unfortunately this otherwise simple bag device doesn't work well in my cistern. The cistern is unusually tall and too narrow for the bag to be spread open correctly at the base and worse is that my cistern float, being cylindrical rather than spherical, has, in testing, got caught by on the side of the bag such that it could cause the cistern to overflow (wasting water rather than saving it). I have decided it is too risky to use. I'm sure that it would work OK in most cisterns - maybe if I change the float it would work better. I think the manufacturer should give minimum dimensions of the space in which the bag needs to sit rather than just the tank volume.
