Pyle Portable CD Player Bluetooth Boombox Speaker-AM/FM Stereo Radio&Audio Sound,Supports CD-R-RW/MP3/WMA,USB,AUX,Headphone,LED Display,AC/Battery Powered,Real Tree-Pyle PHCD59.5

So far, after couple of weeks of use, this little CD boombox checks all of the boxes on my desire list: stylish, speakers deliver better than average sound quality and volume, lightweight, and priced for perfection. I could nitpick and desire of round controls for volume and desired AM/FM station, however, for the price, this is a nicely designed package.

Bought the cd player in September 2025 it stopped working June 2026 not happy with the product

This CD/radio player is nothing like the boom boxes in the good ole days. Sound quality is very poor. Volume cannot be heard from one room to the next - about 30 ft. Bluetooth would not connect to any Android devices. Once the CD has played you have to turn it off to get it to play again. I knew within 30 minutes of use that I would be returning this.

This is a good product overall but a couple of reasons keep it from being great. First, there's a button to go to next programmed station but there's no button to go to previous programmed station. Second, the tuner is weak. I put in a larger antenna but the radio still can't pull in all the stations that my old radio could.

Pretty nice little unit for the price, everything I have checked seems to work OK. That being said I do have a few minor issues with this unit. 1. When I unpacked the unit and plugged it in I could not get it to work and was ready to send it back as defective until I stumbled upon the on off switch on the bottom next to the battery box. I guess it is labeled in the booklet, but hey, I'm a guy and that's the last resort. 2. Finding a radio station is a real pain. The search function looks for the strongest signal and stops for about one second and then moves on to the next strong signal so trying to get a certain station can be a challenge but I did accidently figure out that using the forward and reverse keys you can manually work through the frequency range to find the channel you want. The instructions for this are not clear which is an issue with most of the instructions in the manual. 3. This is the biggest issue. I got the radio with the Real tree camo pattern and the white letters and symbols on the buttons are nearly impossible to make out unless you are in bright light with the radio tilted at the right angle. I wish I had gotten the black and red model instead. 4. I guess that I would have liked to see some screening over the mylar speakers. I am very careful with everything I own but I think it would be very easy for one of the speakers to get damaged.

I bought this to replace an older model that had suddenly developed a squeak in the CD spindle. It has great sound for it's size and price, but please note that it does NOT have a cassette tape player. So if you have vintage tapes you want to hear, you'll need to look elsewhere.

I'm disappointed in this purchase. This didn't produce the big sound I was looking for or use to get with my old Sony. I use it in my shop and when I'm running power tools - even my drill the sound gets lost. The print design on the unit makes it hard to read the controls. I adjust the sound higher to a desired level (it's not just turning a knob, you have to tap, tap, tap the button) then when you turn it off it resets itself back to a low level and next time you turn it on you have to go through the process again. That gets old real quick. I wanted to use it outside when gardening but haven't bothered because of the poor sound level. Didn't act quick enough to do a return so I got stuck. Not a Happy Camper.

Works well, goes with hunting decor in garage, this may be small but it's loud. Great gift for people who love camouflage.
