Really great clock!

I purchased the Brifit Silent Alarm Clock for my daughter and overall, it does the job well for the price! The analogue design is simple and cute, making it a perfect fit for her bedroom. I like the large display and big numbers, which make it easy for both kids and the elderly to read the time without straining.One of the main selling points is its silent quartz movement, however, I did notice a slight clicking noise at times, which can be irritating if you’re particularly sensitive to sounds. It’s not a deal-breaker but it’s worth mentioning. Overall, I think this clock is great value for its price and serves its purpose well.

So annoying it makes you wake up even if you are dead.

First things first, this is NOT silent. It doesn't tick but there's a constant sort of mechanical/whirring noise. I keep it on the drawers on the other side of bedroom and I can hear it, it's not loud enough to keep me awake but probably would if it was next to me on bedside table. Also the alarm isn't that accurate, I don't set it for the exact same time every day but for example I set it for 6am two days running and it went off at 5.50am and 6.08am respectively which is not the end of the world but something to bear in mind - if you set it for the same time every day, you'll eventually find the sweet spot.On a more positive note, it's hands don't glow in the dark, the alarm is loud and clear, is easy to set and it has a handy light.

Excellent value good timekeeper

It definitely is not silent - as the second hand goes round it is making a fast constant whir sound rather than the tick-tick/tick-tock sound. This is better than the tick-tick sound but now, after only 3 months it is loosing time. I got home from 12 days away to find that the time it was showing was 3 hours slow. Since being home a couple of days it has now lost another half and hour. It is not the battery as the second had is still whiring round constantly. It doesn't seem possible to contact the seller to report this! I guess I'll just have to bin it and warn others not to buy.

Just what I was looking for; a simple, clear display clock for my studio. The 'second' hand sweeps round smoothly and majestically.

This review is for an alarm clock. It arrived boxed. The clock requires 1 AA battery, which is not included. So bear that in mind when purchasing.The clock is made from good quality plastic. It is a nice pink colour. It appears to keep the time well. It is indeed silent, the second hand moves smoothly, so there are no ticking sounds. The alarm is acceptable, but I will not be using it for that. It is for my bathroom.The light is the weak point on this. The bulb located in the top right corner is weak, and it only lights up about 1/4 of the face when pressed. There should really be lights on each of the four corners.It's a good affordable, no frills clock, that looks nice and performs the basic functions you would want from a clock of this type.
