A perfect replacement for my damaged switch
⚡ This switch is very straightforward to use, and I needed this new switch to replace one where the switch hinge had broken. I only needed a simple switch, and it was only activating a home automation module to power a light.⚡ On the plus side, the switch action is smooth, and this was a direct replacement for the outgoing switch. I was only using it as a one-way switch, so I was not using the L2 or '2-way' connection. My wires are ferrule-terminated, and the switch took those perfectly, with the terminals tightening down and holding the wires securely.⚡ The only negative was that the screws were loose in the packet, as I expected them to be clipped to the underside of the switch plate. This is not a big problem. The screws fitted to the captive nuts in a UK plastic pattress box, which was a relief as this is sometimes a problem and I really didn’t want to go into my spares tins to find some alternatives. I just needed to pop in the screw covers, and the job was complete. The switch was a great replacement and was fitted in minutes. The value is good too, so it is recommended. ✔️

Ok
It's a plastic light switch, so pretty basic. Easy enough to install. My only gripe is the actual switch has left-to-right movement if you try and wiggle it. People using it would probably never notice though, but it just made it feel a bit cheap to me when I was installing it.UPDATE:Having installed a few more of these, it's a bit tricky getting the little white plastic screw caps in (i.e. the white grommets that hide the screw heads). Some were such a struggle that they bent out of shape and are now useless, so I'll have to buy a few more switches purely to get the screw caps (or maybe I will try and buy them separately but I did a quick search and couldn't see anything suitable).I also managed to crack one switch due to over-tightening the screw, so be careful not to do that as these are made of plastic and will crack easily! Other than that, they are ok to use.And in case anyone is wanting to know, these are switches only (so no pattress boxes are included).

Nice switch
Just what I wanted. Fits easily, as you would expect, and works well. Nice to have the little blanking bits to cover the screws.

Screws too short, no click.
Screws too short. I had to use original ones from old switch. No nice ‘click’ when I turn on the light. I almost wonder if this is faulty but works and can’t be bothered to replace it again.

Come On Baby Light My Bulb
Based largely on the positive reviews and price, I bought this as a replacement for an existing switch which was starting to get worryingly wobbly. The switch was delivered promptly and screwed perfectly into the existing recessed switch box once I'd taken the old switch off. The switch has BS EN 60669-1 accreditation stamps on the rear of the casing, and switches on and off with a satisfying click. So why not a 5* rating? Well there are a few (to me) minor niggles:- no documentation. It was unclear initially which was the positive terminal and which was the negative. It was only through close examination of the rear of the casing that I spotted moulded "+" and "-" symbols on the casing. Well I assume they are - the "-" looks more like a "pear drop" shape than a minus sign!- one terminal obscured by a sticker. This caused momentary confusion as I couldn't work out how to attach the wiring. Sticker had to be pulled off to expose the hole which the wire needed to be fed into, leading to the screw.- Switch is upside down. Having wired into the switch, there being no documentation, I had to decide which way was Up when fixing the plate onto the wall. My previous switch simply had a little sticker with the word "Top" on it. As all the writing on the rear of the plate read from top to bottom, I assumed that the top of the switch would be where the top writing started on the rear, so I screwed to the wall, put the main fuse back on and... nope! On was pressed in at the top, American style. I had to turn the mains supply off, unscrew the plate, turn it upside down (so the writing on the back of the plate was now upside down) and re-affix to the wall.Everything is now working perfectly, and I would have given 5 stars if it had not been for these minor issues. Just to put those into perspective, I have just ordered another two of these from the same supplier.
