I don't often leave reviews on Amazon, but felt compelled to write about this product, as it has proven to be an absolute game changer for us. My wife and I had struggled and failed to move a 120kg range cooker from its temporary location in the garage into the kitchen. It was so heavy that I struggled to move it more than an inch at a time when pushing against it with all my weight. I'd previously seen these straps advertised but thought they were a bit of gimmick. In my desperation though, I ordered them on the basis that if all else failed, I would need to pay someone to move said cooker for me. The straps arrived next day and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the materials used, the sturdiness of the product, and the clarity of the instructions. Once we had figured out how to put on the harnesses and attach the sling to them and underneath the cooker, we attempted a trial lift of the cooker. I should point out that these straps do not miraculously make a very heavy object suddenly feel as light as a feather, but for the first time ever we were both able to lift the cooker more than an inch off the ground without nearly injuring ourselves. We took a few tentative steps and found that by stopping regularly to check our position and to get our breath back, we were able to cover several yards in a matter of just a couple of minutes. Before we knew it, the cooker was in the kitchen, and we had successfully moved it without dropping it or damaging anything (including ourselves!). I am absolutely delighted with this purchase. It might be the kind of thing that we only use once or twice in a lifetime, but it turned an impossible job into something that was all of a sudden manageable and achievable. We moved recently and had some heavy bits of furniture as well as the usual fridge and washer. These straps were a life saver. Lifting was easy and took the strain off your back. They are not completely perfect as can be a bit fiddly to get on and only has a single strap to lift your item, however it's easier enough to stabilise and is sturdy so I'd rather have that than lift without. Great bit of kit and well worth the money.

These are really good but not quite as easy as the videos online show. I guess it takes some practice. The product is well built, good stitching and material thickness. I think with regular use you would be a pro in no time, the main downside is that you need someone on each side of the item so putting a fridge in to a corner is not possible. We bought these to move a new American fridge weighing 120kg i am medium build, dont "work out" and never been to the gym, my wife is short and slim, regularly works out but for fitness not body building. We moved the fridge easily with these straps, it surprised us both how easy it was.

I bought these to move an american fridge freezer primarily. I didn't really want to buy a trolley that I then need to find a home for. My husband and I were able to move the fridge with ease with these straps. I am a medium frame 5ft 7 and yes the straps were a bit loose, they fit my husband better but once the tension was there i.e. when standing up straight they didn't slip off. We didn't need to watch the video as the instructions were clear. It's important that you both stand up at the same time otherwise it will be a bit lopsided. If this happens just start again. A good tip in the instructions is to push the item away when lifting it. This stabilises the item and stops it wobbling. I wasn't sure if they would work but they were really effective. We ended up moving our sofa and dresser with these because they made it so much easier. Would highly recommend!

I really wasn't sure what star rating to give these as whilst they work great, they are only suitable if you have a certain physique. To put this into perspective, I'm a 6 foot tall male with a medium build. I found I was only just able to fit the body harness on. My brother, who I usually rope into helping me move heavy objects whenever I need too is also 6 foot but quite a bit bigger, he had no hope of getting the harness on. It is surprisingly small, on me, the buckle sits a few inches below the bottom of my rib cage. The lady in the demo picture has the buckle well below her crotch so she must be tiny. All that being said, if it fits you it works well and is easy to use. I was able to test it with my 59-year-old mother using a bulky boxed up power chair (approx 50KG) as the test item. We moved it easily from one end of the garden to another and could have done several laps if we wanted to. Without the straps, my mum wasn't able to help me move it 1 foot across the floor. Unfortunately, as the item would not fit my brother I had to return it. I opted for another version (Search Amazon for item B076DY19R5). This is the same kind of idea but a different system. The harnesses of the second version lend themselves to the 'one size fits all' philosophy and my brother has no trouble fitting them. I would say it is a little more complicated than the one I'm reviewing here so maybe stick with the first version here if you and your lifting partner are small builds. Another advantage of the second version system is that there's an option to use it with no harness at all, which is very quick and easy. I decided to drop the item to three stars because whilst the item works well for smaller people, they could have easily made the harnesses adjustable and suitable for all people to use. I was a little sceptical but this seemed our best bet for moving a very heavy old washing machine without injury. In the videos for this product a couple demonstrate using it to move a washing machine but they carry it so quickly I suspected all the heavy innards had been removed. We used these straps to lift our 80kg washing machine up into our car and then remove it when we arrived at the washing machine graveyard (Council tip). My wife isn't very tall and weighs considerably less than the machine. I was very pleased at how these straps performed. To be able to lift the washing machine high enough we had to crouch next to the load and tighten the straps so that as you stand up the load is lifted higher. Getting it out of the car afterwards was similarly uneventful and I never felt on the edge of disaster. It's not often we need to carry heavy items but I will be keeping these because they certainly make lifting heavy items a much safer activity.

This is surprisingly good. Bought in anticipation of a house move with just two of us to handle the heavy stuff, it actually stayed in the packet for a while as we moved some of the heavy kitchen appliances on a trolley until we got over the idea of the embarrassment of two blokes strapped together using this. It was instantly obvious with a heavy dishwasher that all you really have to do is balance the item being carried while the shoulders take strain. As the van we were using had a fairly low level floor it was possible to just give an extra lift on to the floor without difficulty. There is a lot of carrying length in the strapping so moving a dishwasher means there could be a bit of surplus strapping to tuck out of the way to avoid tripping but on longer items it works without any precautions. We haven't tried it on stairs yet but in theory it should be helpful in leaving an arm available to guide and balance. The strapping is heavy gauge and it looks like it will last if you are a serious switcher of big items around the house!
