The quality felt sturdy and it is ideal for a small chicken coop, stored off the floor. Genius. Sadly the lubing cup needed replacing this winter (bought it in 2019).The thread for the screw does not work and I wrote to the supplier to enquire whether I could just buy a bottom plate were the drinker is screwed in and also buy a new lubing cup. Alas no, the answer I got was that "the whole thing needs replacing , but they are out of stock anyhow" to quote the reply. Therefore £80.00 not well spend, because I am now expected to buy a new oneYou be better off buying a cheaper drinker for £7.00 and replace this every 2 years. Cheaper in the long run.So the verdict is - the quality does not justify the price and there is no real warranty for the product ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars Drinker, 4 Stars Feeder *by C***D on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 20 October 2018* If my hens kick soil into the red drinker scoop at the bottom, you just lift up the yellow float with your finger, blot out any dirty water with a tissue and it fills back up with clean water- fantastic! My ex- batteries worked out how to use it straight away. The feeder is rain and dirt free, the hens know how to use it. But mash and crumble seems a bit reluctant to come out in any quantity, maybe pellets work better in it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Kept Feed Dry, Sturdy *by J***Y on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 16 May 2017* We got a few ex battery hens that were in pretty poor shape. It took them a full day and a half to figure out how to use the feeder and waterer, along with a minor adjustment on the height we installed them. But now they are getting along just fine. We've had a couple really good rainstorms, and the food has remained dry. As of yet, there is no issue with water or crud falling into the waterer.2 chickens can use them at a time, and if they have a good pecking order I suppose a handful could all take turns. If you have more than 5 chickens, or chickens of varying heights, you might want 2 sets to reduce fighting and ensure the different sizes can reach it all comfortably.I was concerned with the price initially. However, I do feel in the end it's probably going to pay for itself in dry feed. They are durable, so they should last a long time, too.
