ProSeal 80066 Silicone Adhesive and Sealant, Clear

I used this adhesive to repair a split rubber pipe in a washing machine. Water in the pipe was not at a high pressure but this solution provided a very useful temporary fix until a new pipe arrived. When replacing the pipe I noticed that I had failed to see the full extent of the crack and had not applied the sealant over the complete crack. That sealant effectively sealed the pipe where it was applied and I recommend it for this type of emergency repair - just make sure you apply it to ALL of the crack!

I used this to help fit a new boot aperture seal on my car. I fitted the seal OK as a push-fit, but it needed quite a bit of stretching, and still lifted off at the corners each time I opened the boot. This RTV adhesive was perfect. I applied a small amount, held pressure on it by hand for 1-2 minutes only them closed the boot and left it closed for over an hour. By then the adhesive had fully boded (complete cure takes 24 hours). It has worked very well . It is quite thick and viscous, so I warm up the tube in the airing cupboard or in some hot water before using it, especially in cold weather.

Seems that the seal is still fine on my car radio antenna replacement. Very sticky to use. Doesn't wipe away easily which made the job a little awkward at first. But it's okay when you get used to it. My advice is go in prepared and test elsewhere first. Had enough in the tube for a few small jobs though.

Thought I’d try this for bonding walking boot sole to upper. Sole parted from upper at toe. Applied liberally into cleaned gap and left for a couple of days. Absolutely brilliant, kept sole bonded for a month or so ( walking every morning) extended life of boots. When worked loose, just repeated the application. I’m sure there are other products on the market, but I had most of the tube left unused after bonding door seal, so I had a go.

Tube had exploded on arrival so unable to use. Not able to get a refund as we would have to send the tube back which is completely impossible due to adhesive being everywhere. Feel like I've just flushed money down the toilet.

Used to re-stick car door rubber. Did work but 1 end has unstuck again after a few months so will redo. Not bad I suppose.

Quite viscous, strong adhesion.

Best product for sealing leaks in windscreens, campervan windows, excellent flexible glue for fitting car trim doesn't rot.easy to apply.
