Kenwood KAX643ME Grater Drum Barrel Attachment for Kenwood Kitchen Machines, Silver

I've had one of these attachments amongst other Kenwood kitchens machines over the years. Like my mam used to say "You get what you pay for" this Mincer attachment it very sturdy, you can feel the build quality in the weight and the snug secure way it fits my K-Mix. When your looking and baking meat pies it's a must have. So for me it's good value for money, and it's so easy to clean in warm soapy water too. Also slices onions without the tears 😭 very pleased always love Kenwood gear. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I am very impressed with the quality and flexibility of this unit. I have only had it since just before Christmas . I am a prolific carrot cake baker and my husband has just used it for his annual marmalade making. So we are already in agreement that this was a great buy. Really easy to use and can knock out large potions of shredded fruit and veg with easy. Amazingly flexible with the different ‘drums’ that allow you to choose how fine or course you want the food product.

Brilliant ! I have problems with my hands due to an accident and I have gone through numerous electronic aids. Decided to invest in this tool for my mixer. Robust with multiple slicing and grating options. If you have the mixer already this is a valuable extra

Wasn’t expecting to have to use pressure when trying to grate vegetables but the worst thing is it’s not washable. An expensive waste of time

Easy to mount and easy to clean after use. I am using it mostly to slice and grinding vegetables.

Perfect for our new mixer which did not have the grind facility, perfect for chopping up the nuts for our Coffee & Walnut cake.

Meine Hände gehorchen mir nicht mehr verlässlich, da ich aber viel koche und backe achte ich auf hilfreiche, technische Geister in der Küche. Dieser Trommelraffelaufsatz ist so ein hilfreicher Geist für mich. Es gibt 6 verschiedene Aufsätze, zum Raspeln, zum Scheiben schneiden und auch zum Reiben von Hartkäse oder Schokolade. Im Video habe ich eine der beiden Schneidetrommeln verwendet, ich habe die für dünne Scheiben gewählt. Hätte ich diese ganzen Wurzeln von Hand geschnitten, hätte ich ein vielfaches der Zeit benötigt und es wäre sicher auch nicht so schön gleichmäßig geworden. Die Schneiden sind so scharf, dass nicht einmal Druck durch den Kunststoffstempel nötig ist. Mit ein wenig Druck klappt das Schneiden natürlich noch viel schneller, aber vorsichtig sein dabei, denn zuviel Druck belastet die Antriebswelle evtl. Ab und an bleiben auch bei der Kenwood Raffel Karotten-Teile stecken, doch hier wird das Schneiden selbst aber nicht behindert. Ich muss hier nicht stoppen um das Innere herauszukratzen um dann weiter machen zu können. Besonders gut gefällt mir hier auch, dass das Reinigen der Bestandteile ein Klacks ist. Es verbleibt so gut wie nichts von den Karotten in der Raffel, bis auf die Stückchen die sich verkantet haben, die haben ja aber nichts mit der Reinigung zu tun - siehe letztes Foto. Das ist auch nicht meine erste Kenwood Raffel, ich hatte bereits eine bei meiner Vorgänger Kenwood Küchenmaschine. Allerdings finde ich die jetzige Befestigungslösung der Raffel mit der Maschine sehr viel besser - weil stabiler, leichter anzubringen und offenbar mit wenig Druck auf die Antriebswelle. Für mich hat sich der Kauf absolut gelohnt, ich möchte auf diesen Küchenhelfer nicht mehr verzichten wollen. Für Bratkartoffeln aus der Heissluftfritteuse ebenfalls eine Mega Hilfe, aber auch wenn ich wieder Rotkohl kochen werde, oder auch nur wenn Schokolade gerieben werden muss. Die Passgenauigkeit ist auch hier wieder sehr beeindruckend für mich. Für mich ist dieser Aufsatz ein Musthave für die Kenwood Küchenmaschine

I don't know why I have waited to long to buy this little beauty. I love making hash browns but grating the potatoes is a real pain.......not anymore :D This attachment (like all the others I have) has made the world of difference to my food prep. If you too have a Kenwood chef, I encourage you to get this attachment for all your grating and shredding needs, but hey, that it my opinion only.
