Our black Labrador is whistled trained and her recall is perfect. They are loud so she can be off over the field and still here me whistle. Using the whistle along side treats had my Labrador trained in no time at all. It probably helps that she's so food orientated. Unless you have two rescue dogs with what I thought was ok recall. Until they got under a gate and me blowing the whistle like some mental elderly train conductor. After running across two boggy fields and blowing this whistle, which fortunately the neighbour heard. The dogs, (alias at this stage cretins) stopped.
