Full review 9mo in: Despite issues, best in class
We’ve had our MeowWant litter box for about 9 months now. I got it shortly after we adopted our littlest of two Siberian cats after I realized how much of a pain it was to hand-scoop two girls’ worth of waste every day. It’sgot its flaws, but it’s infinitely better than hand-scooping.It’s got a small enough footprint that it doesn’t take up too much space in our little apartment bathroom, but it’s large enough on the inside that our ultra-fluffy 13lb 3yr old girl can pretty comfortably go potty, turn around, and dig without being cramped. It works as intended probably 90% of the time, which is as good as it gets right now (skip to the last paragraph for my TLDR on why, and my reasoning for recommending it).1. The app is nothing to write home about; I thought it would be a great way to keep track of their weight, but it turns out that it just kind of upsets the machine to have an integrated scale (of questionable accuracy), and it disconnects from my phone anytime it’s unplugged/reset, so eventually I just stopped reconnecting it. Our girls will also play on top of it, which triggers the weight sensor and logs it as potty time, which totally throws off the data. I only really needed to connect it once at the beginning to set our cleaning cycle times (8am, 12pm, 5pm, 12am), but otherwise I’m fine with not getting notifications. The machine itself is usually well-behaved, but like all auto-scooping litter boxes on the market, it can be finicky.2. You have to be really, really careful to shut the waste bin door all the way after opening it up, making sure it is latched and flush against the curve of the barrel before walking away. If it’s left partially open or a corner is sticking out, it’ll catch on its next cycle and spill the contents of the upside down all over the floor. As the lights are blinking red, you have to remove the back part, pick up the barrel, and physically rotate it back into position (and shut the waste bin door properly), unplug it and plug it back in to get it to complete a spill-free cycle if this happens.3. I recommend keeping a hand-vac handy/near the litter box in case of this, and in general; it’s quite shallow and low to the ground, so if your cat(s) are big on digging like our girls are, litter will end up on floor anyway. Since it’s across from our toilet, I literally just vacuum the surrounding area whenever I pee (…in the human toilet, lol), which makes it very easy.4. You also must be mindful about what kind of litter you use. The advertisement states that it can take tofu or larger/longer-sized litter pellets, but it really can’t without wasting a bunch of it, as it will mistakenly sift larger particles into the waste bin. We’ve tried 6+ different types of liter with this box, and the ones we’ve found to be the best are ones with very fine, heavy particles, such as BoxyCat or other standard clay litter, or Sustainably Yours corn litter (we love this stuff, it’s just a little spendy).5. The holes are currently large enough that poops the size of a marble or smaller will be sifted back in with the clean litter. That’s not a huge deal if your litter is really absorbent and dries out the “leftovers,” but I think they should market this for use with the small grain litters and not for use with tofu litters, so they could make the grate smaller in order to catch the small poops. Those things may seem like glaring issues, but they are not specific to MeowWant. Even the biggest, most expensive, most complicated, fanciest-seeming litter boxes have issues, many of which overlap with the issues that this one has. The main thing I learned during the hours upon hours of research I did prior to purchasing this litter box was that the auto-scooping litter robot market as a whole has a long way to go before these are more reliable and commonplace. The thing that *is* unique to MeowWant is the impeccable customer service. They’ve been incredibly accomodating, friendly, and responsive responsive to our concerns in a way that has me believing they actually take what customers say into account when considering design tweaks for future iterations of this product, which is very encouraging (and exceedingly rare).Overall, for now, I genuinely believe this is one of the best auto-scooping boxes available. Between the small footprint, large inside space, quiet operation, and relative ease of use & cleaning (tip: use some enzyme wipes/spray/foam in between deep cleans) make it totally worthwhile if your goal is to save time and energy dealing with your furbaby’s excrement, especially if you don’t have a ton of space or money for a “nicer one.” I’ll put it this way: cleaning up after the occasional litter box malfunction takes a lot less time and energy than scooping a regular litter box multiple times a day. Unless you want to wait for the industry to catch up, this is worth getting.Edit: Although it is not advertised to work with crystal/silica litter, it does sift out the poo and stirs it around enough to not clump, though you may want to scrape the bottom every so often if you go this route. We had to switch away from the clay litter because it was causing our older girl’s tear ducts to plug up, and we can’t use plant based litter because my partner is super allergic to the dust from it. I’m happy to report that it’s working quite well with FreshStep’s blue crystal litter (I don’t remember the exact name. It is not scented), both for us and the girls :)

UPDATE! Excellent Product W/Add on
**UPDATE: No litter box can completely eliminate odor and this one works pretty well. I also stuck a rechargeable ION deodorizer on the left inside of the drum. This way, it isn't in the way of the cleaning rotation; and it comes off to charge or to clean the drum. It was noticeably better so much - that there is nearly zero odor within minutes of the kat using the box. While some speak to the litter that is stuck to the paws (normal), by putting the paver outside for a step up, it also helps with the litter issue. Lastly, the customer who made the suggestion that a sliding door closes when it rotates would be an excellent idea!! My kat does like to "interfere" with the rotation - and the device works well to pause while she's being nosy.I did a lot of looking; chatted with several companies, and bought an open box (since Kona seemed to prefer) that was more work than not. This product is great. First, the communication is excellent (although not by email. Def go through Amazon messages). It is quiet and Kona used it right away. After a week, she is still hesitant, and accepting. The comments about size is odd. It is less wide than almost any others. So, for smaller spaces, it is great. The instructions could use more explanation about the features although it is not too difficult to figure out.On the be aware category, some comment on the litter outside the box. There can be a little (the mat catches it though). Over time, it is less and less because Kona was pawing it from outside and I also reduced the fill. (Note the fill line is not the yellow sticker - it’s the embossed line inside the box as I made that mistake). When a cat is pawing at it; the box registered weight. For those that aren’t the registered cats, those should be able to be deleted (a tip for the future app updates). On odor, it does not have an ION system like others. I slipped a Febreze small spaces (pet) in the bottom of the waste container before putting in the bag.. that helps so much when opening to remove the waste bag. A future version could be 1-1.5 inches deeper. Kona is on the smaller side, and can imagine a really big cat might be a problem. I put a brick in the front to create a step up for Kona and that also serves as a slight enough weight to keep the mat in place.. While she didn’t need the step because it’s entrance is one of the shortest among others, I did it in the early stage to help her get used to it and like that it gives an additional purpose. *you can see it in the photoOne of the comments earlier said it only measured in kg - it measures in pounds. The accuracy of the scale is just okay.I highly recommend - for the price, you get an excellent litter box that takes care of itself.

A Review and Comparison….
I have had this litter box for about a month now and I am ready to share my thoughts on it. I will also be comparing it to the LitterRobot 4 for anyone who may be curious or trying to make a decision. I’m aware that not everyone wants to read an essay, so I will summarize first and then go into detail for those who are interested in the why…*SUMMARY*This automatic litter box is OK. Just OK. It does what it’s intended to do and it does an ok job at it. It has flaws, but it works. If someone were to ask me if I would recommend this over a LitterRobot, I would say no. I’ve had the LitterRobot for a year and in my opinion it outperforms this one at the end of the day. But for someone who can’t afford LR, this is a much more budget friendly and decent alternative. I do recommend using a better quality cat litter for any automated litter box, a cheep cat litter will not make for a good experience no matter which one you decide to get. (Personal experience T.T)Now to the details! For reference, I’ve had LR4 for a year and the Meowant for about a month. I purchased the Meowant for my elderly, arthritic, cat, because she struggles to get into the LR and refuses to use a ramp. This was supposed to solve that issue, but unfortunately, I just think it isn’t big enough for her (she is a large cat). For my first impressions, this litter box was easy to set up, I do recommend setting it up on hard floor or getting a mat to protect your carpet if you don’t have hard floor, (more on this later). The app was also quick and easy to set up. It uses military time but you can adjust from kg to lb for the weight. I did not find it any easier or any more difficult to set up than the LR, I would say they are about the same in that regard. LR’s app has more features and provides more details.SELF CLEANING: The meowant can be set to a custom schedule or to custom wait time for self cleaning. This is not a feature of LR, so I thought it was neat but didn’t really find it necessary. The meowant’s bin needed to be emptied at least twice a week and the pan refilled at least once a week. Mine is being used by 4 cats, so this is a factor in how frequently it needs attention. My LR needs emptied twice a month at most and tells me when it needs to be replenished, but only 3 cats use this one. The Meowant does not have any sensors that tell you how low the litter is getting or how full the bin is, so you will need to pay attention to it, my LR does both of these and I missed that feature in the Meowant. When the litter box cleans itself, it rotates to sift the litter through a grate and move clumps and waste up to the opening where it slides into the trap and into the lined bin. I started seeing granules of litter stuck to the inside of the hatch that you open to remove the waste. And litter seems to accumulate around the edges of the removable bin. This makes removing the bin and liner and replacing it unsanitary. I would recommend gloves and/or wash your hands thoroughly when you are finished. The LR operates in a similar way except the bin stays stationary at the bottom and the waist drops directly in instead of having to go through a trap door. I have never felt like I needed gloves to remove the bag from the LR. Over time, I found that some clumps were sticking to the side in the Meowant, this happens in LR too, so this is most likely an indication that it time for a clean, or at least that is how I respond. Basically, the Meowant gets the job done here, it just results in a less sanitary situation.SIZE: The cat I purchased this for is 18 years old and has arthritis. She struggle to get in and out of LR. She can get in this one, the step to get in is not any higher than her normal box, however, she still isn’t willing to climb in or out and I think it’s a size issue. She is 12lb’s and has always been large. Not fat, just big. She has just enough room to turn around in this box, but has to scrunch herself up which may be uncomfortable on her joints, making her unwilling to use it. For that reason, I don’t recommend this box if you have a large cat.CLEANING: Now we get to the reason I recommend saving for a LR instead. I clean my boxes and change them once a month and today I decided it was time to clean this one. I started at 8am and finished around 1pm (this includes dry time, I did not scrub it for this long lol). I ran an empty cycle, which created a lovely mess in the trap where the bin is. Quite a bit of litter ended up going around the bin instead of in it. A situation that has never occurred with LR. In fact I can honestly say cleaning the LR has never taken as long or been as difficult as cleaning this machine. The barrel does not open, meaning you are limited on what parts of the inside you can see and the areas that you can reach easily because the opening for the cat is kind of small. I was fairly certain that I had hosed the inside of the barrel out very thoroughly, did not see any indication that there was anything stuck to the inside that needed more attention and sat the barrel aside to dry. Meanwhile I went about cleaning the bin, the base, the mat etc. I would say I gave the barrel about 2 hours and then went out to check on it and reposition it as needed. 2 hours later it seemed mostly dry, so I wanted to spray it with my litter box cleaner and wipe it down before putting it all back together. Nope…while I was working on the inside I found a massive chunk of clumped cat litter stuck to the inner wall, right out of sight and apparently out of reach for the water. Cleaning that out meant that I made a new mess inside which meant more spray and more wiping only to find more litter stuck in all the corners and crevices. Please note, that I could have washed the LR and had it back together in half the time I spent on this. As it stands, it did get clean, and it is back together, but I found that the overall shape and not having easy access to the inside makes cleaning it very difficult. I was also surprised by how dirty it had gotten since being in use, I don’t think I’ve every seen clumps that size stuck to the sides of the LR. In terms of overall cleanliness and ease of cleaning I think the LR is much better than this machine.I give the machine 4 stars, because it isn’t a bad automated litter box. But it does require more attention, and a little more work than the LR. I also recommend using a mat or at least a puppy pad underneath it to protect your floors and for easy clean up. Because of the way it is designed, when the cat exits litter will fall between the barrel and the base. And if your cat is having trouble getting their butt inside the box, the urine will run down there as well. The cleaning was the only frustrating issue I had with the box, I do feel like there should be easier access to the interiors for cleaning but otherwise found it to be functional and much easier for an elderly cat to access…if they fit in it…

A game changer for busy cat owners 🐾
I’ve been using the Meowant automatic litter box for about 2 years now, and it has honestly made such a difference in my daily routine. As someone working two jobs while also building a brand around my British Shorthair, Freddie, having something that’s low-maintenance and reliable is incredibly important. This litter box takes so much off my plate—it automatically cleans after each use, which means no constant scooping, and the odor control has been a huge improvement in keeping my space fresh. The design is sleek and practical, and the waste compartment is easy to remove and empty, so overall maintenance is quick and simple. Most importantly, Freddie adjusted to it well, which was something I was initially concerned about. After about 2 years of use, one part did need replacing, and I reached out to the brand. Their customer service was responsive and helpful, and they provided a replacement part, which I really appreciated as a long-time user. It’s reassuring to see a company stand behind their product and support their customers even after extended use.Overall, this has been a great investment for convenience, cleanliness, and peace of mind—especially for anyone with a busy lifestyle.

Owned the Litter‑Robot 4 — the Meowant SC01 works better in real‑world use
I’ve owned both the Litter‑Robot 4 (LR4) and the Meowant SC01, and after extended real‑world use, I strongly prefer the SC01. While the LR4 looks impressive on paper, the SC01 is simpler, more reliable, and better designed for everyday use.Major LR4 issue (high‑peeing cats):Inside the LR4 globe is a litter chute at approximately the 1:00 position. If your cat pees high or sprays slightly upward, urine can pass through this chute and:Run into the mechanical/electrical baseCollect in hard‑to‑clean areas, causing lingering odorLeak out of the base and onto the floorFor a premium‑priced unit, this was unacceptable.LR4 complexity & sensor issues:Sensors can get dirty (dust/cat hair) and trigger false “drawer full” alertsThe LR4 must be manually reset every time you empty the waste drawerThis is especially frustrating to explain to a pet sitterWhy the SC01 is better:Proper urine containment — no leaks into the baseNo false alertsNo reset required after emptying the drawerYou pull the drawer, replace the bag, and slide it back in — done.Multi‑cat performance:We have four male cats sharing one automatic litter box, and the SC01 handles this workload without issue. Cycling keeps up fine, odors are controlled, and maintenance has been completely manageable.Apps (fair comparison):The LR4 app is more polishedThe Airpet app is fully functional: identifies cats by weight, logs bathroom visits, and allows scheduled cleaning cyclesI use a mandatory cleaning every 3 hours, in addition to automatic cycles.Notes:The SC01 works perfectly without the appSC01 uses 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi onlyLR4 supports 5 GHz Wi‑FiBuild quality:The SC01’s fit and finish are surprisingly good. Nothing feels cheap. The LR4’s flip‑up bonnet feels flimsy and poorly fitted by comparison. Side by side, the SC01 is comparable—or better—despite costing far less.Final verdict:The LR4 has advanced features, but its internal chute design, sensor sensitivity, and complexity make it frustrating in real‑world use.The Meowant SC01 delivers better containment, less maintenance, solid build quality, and far better value.I would buy the SC01 again without hesitation—and I would not return to the Litter‑Robot.

Great Litter Box
Absolutely love this litter box! It works great, keeps everything clean, and has made life so much easier. Definitely one of the best purchases I’ve made for my cats. Highly recommend!

It’s ok, could be better.
First, there is no perfect litter robot. You have to find what works for you.Problems I encounter:Setting upConnecting to internetTiming is key, you have to press your router button and start the setup on the litter box simultaneously or it will not work. Took me about 4 attempt to get it right.Setting up the app;The app is only good for being notified when your pets go potty if you have more than one cat. It may work better for a single cat.Very poor odor control:It's made of plastic which holds odor Cleaning and disinfecting is very important. The sensors don't work as well as I hoped. My cats’ weight is recorded differently each time they go and never close to their actual weight. The sensors are super sensitive so if you mistakenly add a cat with a weight of 1lb as I did then clumping litter will stop it from cleaning because the machine thinks a cat is in the box. In one of the previous videos gentlemen couldn't figure out why the box was malfunctioning, I believe he was having this issue, so I fixed my issue by rebooting to factory settings. What I don't likeThe litter grate holes are too big so cat waste gets left behind so I still have to scoop every so often. It is two pieces with a large opening in the base so litter spills in the bottom, haven't seen any cat waste like some others but I'm sure it's possible.Very poor odor control but I've found a few ways to work around thatCleaning is time consuming but better than scooping several times a day and I definitely don't recommend hosing it down as they suggest as I feel that would damage the sensors and other electronic parts.I do think this is over priced but I had the Amazon coupons discount which is really why I bought this.Every thing sticks to this thing; litter, poop, and pee so you will have to clean I recommend at least once a weakWhat I like:It is super quietIt is roomy so the cats are comfortable with using it, they also like watching it clean.I do like how sensitive the sensors are because I know my fur babies won't get caught in the box or injured during cleaning just wish they recorded weight properly. My tipsDon't use clay-clumping litter it confuses the sensors.I was using a corn-based clumping litter (sustainably yours) which worked well and is my favorite. I recently switched to fresh step (kind of like pretty litter) litter to help with odor control, i’m not sure if I'm going to stick with it as it is a little dusty and causes a bit of a mess in the waste bin area as it does not clump. If you have multiple cats empty the bin at least once a day to avoid lingering odor and if the bin is too heavy the unit will malfunction and have to be rebooted as well. I also use hefty odor control 4-gallon bags instead of the bags that came with the unit. The hefty bags help with odor control tremendously.I clean and sanitize the entire unit once a week. By emptying the waste bin and using a another hefty bag and the empty litter feature to empty the litter. I save money on litter because once I finish cleaning I poke wholes in the hefty bag and use it as a sifting bag to put the litter back in without the cat waste the unit missed. I change the litter out completely a month.I recommend adding the litter from the waste bin flap instead of trying to add it in the drum opening anytime you add or change litter, it's a lot easier to pour in and less messy.I also use scouts litter box odor control spray. After I've cleaned and sanatized the unit I lightly spray the inside of the drum and the waste bin area this helps with odor control really well too.I use a soft sponge wand ( sponge with a handle) and a bowl of hot soapy water ( I use Dr. Bronner's tea tree Castile soap) to clean the unit. Then I. Wipe it dry with a regular soft sponge. Cleaning takes me about 30-45minutes.Also recommend setting the auto clean time at some where between 3-5 minutes. The timer starts when you cat enters the unit not after they leave, so if they have been it a minute or two soon as they exit the unit starts to clean which can get messy if poop hasn't hardened or urine isn't quite solid or hasn't been absorbed by the litter. What I wish it didNotified you when litter waste bin is fullSuggest when to replace the litter/ tracked litter levelA better appThat It was one whole unit instead of 2 seperate piecesI think if the company revamped this and put a deep enough waste bin in the opening in the base it would make more sense.Instead of the waste bin flap that covers the opening to the waste bin, a door that seals the bin itself to help with odor control would be nice. The more popular and expensive models have this feature.I wish the waste bin was else were so the drum doesn't rotate all the way around because litter spills out during empty mode when the bin is upside down. If it was at the bottom as mentioned earlier, it would only have to rotate slightly more than halfway and would be less messy.I wish it was made from something other than plastic so it wouldn't hold as much odor.Better Wi-Fi connectivityA litter trap tray because the litter mat they provided is useless.I purchased the petkit or petki litter tray for 69 bucks on Amazon that seem to work well. Also a built in litter guard so the cats don't kick the litter out of the box I purchased one through an app called shop from dynamic pet design I believe it was, you can google meowwant or aribo litter guard and it will come up, it was like 20 bucks for a bundle with 3 different sizes for you to choose what works best. A litter grate with smaller wholes so pet waste doesn't get left behind and need to be hand scooped because that's the point of the automatic litter box right🤨Overall I mean it does its job not as well as I would like. it's ok if you don't mind putting in a little extra work for your comfort. As is, definitely over priced, should be $200-$250, I feel that price range is more reasonable. If the company made the suggested changes and improved the app it could compete with the higher priced litter bots at around $500-$600 bucks, i’d be willing to pay for it.I apologize for the long review but wanted to give my honest opinion to help others make the best choice possible.I'll hang on to it, like I said it does the job it was designed to do but I am shopping for one that better suits my needs.I hope this helps someone and I hope the company looks into making some if not all the changes I suggested instead of just changing the color as they did for the I guess newer version.

First week A-OK (update: now bad, cats are the worst, tossing it out)
Today marks one week of having this litter box in use for my two cats (10.8lb M, 10lb F) so I can only give my initial impression and some speculation regarding reliability. This replaced an ELSPet/Kungfu Pet 'space ship' self cleaning litter box that used a rake instead of tilting motion. I had that in operation for about a year and a half, but it failed to automatically clean after about a year, requiring me to push the manual clean button (physical or app) several times a day. That unit didn't contain the smell nearly as effectively as the Meowant - I think a lot of it was due to the rake gunking up (gross.). It was also loud and I frequently had litter (and urine) going beneath the litter pan... and sometimes the rake wouldn't have enough oomph to complete the cleaning cycle. Both of my cats used this box within an hour of setup which was awesome to see. I actually placed a camera to capture how they use this box and the app makes it easy to match usage events to camera motion events. They mostly use it with their faces sticking out. The included guard is a lifesaver for the reverse occasions, I'm 100% certain I would have had urine on the floor without it. I'll reiterate - this DOES include the guard thing in the opening... I purchased a separate guard when I ordered this box since I didn't know that (even though it was in some of the product photos, I wanted to be certain.) The litter area is much smaller on this box than my last one and I have no idea how jumbo cats can use it - but apparently they do based on the reviews I've read. It seems a little cramped for my average sized cats.I'm using Tidy Cats 'Tidy Feet' low tracking litter with claimed 14 day odor control, since I can't use a litter mat (one cat likes to pee on them) and I'm finding this to be a pretty excellent combination. A robot vacuum runs in the cat room twice a day and picks up what little ends up on the floor, and so far I have zero cat smell in the room. I topped off the litter for the first time today and didn't require much at all to get it back to the fill line, so there's not a ton of wasted litter as far as I can tell.I'm pretty impressed with this thing so far and think the design is superior to raking style self cleaning boxes. No urine leaking, no waste accumulating on the rake, QUIET!, and the power supply is 12v 1 amp on the Meowant, versus 12v 4 amps on the raking style. What that means is that it takes a lot less energy to spin the drum than to dig through a box of litter and waste with a rake - not like this matters on your power bill, but it speaks to the effectiveness of the design.. and likely the reliability. Some of the plastic fingers on my raking style actually broke (and I had to track down a replacement rake) so I'm happy I won't have to fuss with that again. The only reason I'm not giving this a 5/5 is because the cleanliness of the litter isn't always perfect. Small (less than a marble) sized pieces sometimes remain, but they get sent to the bin eventually so I'm NOT accumulating a box full of waste fragments. Assembly was straight forward, pairing to my 2.4ghz wifi network was easy, and I have no gripe with the phone app. It distinguishes between my cats perfectly despite less than a 1lb difference between them, as confirmed by the camera I have set up.The only thing I have left to figure out is dog protection. The ELSPet unit that this one replaced had a pedestal in front of it so my dog couldn't crane her neck in to the box, but I've caught her messing around in the Meowant on camera. Might have to elevate it.UPDATE: A couple months in now. Both of my cats have stopped using it correctly which is a travesty. I noticed a terrible odor coming from the room the litter box lives in, like fermented urine. Everything had been awesome for long enough to consider this product a god send, doing a full litter changeout every 2 weeks and wiping any ick away once every few days. There was never any odor, and the old litter I was changing out didn't look or smell bad. But still, a stench began to grow.I did another full litter changeout and convinced myself that the odor absorber must have gotten used up. I was amazed it had such masking powers, in fact..I didn't really believe it. I sat down on the floor to start googling how to disassemble this thing and see if urine was leaking underneath of it, and that's when I noticed my hardwood had a different sheen. It was almost waxy. Yep, urine all over my floors.Set up cameras and discovered my cats are using the box improperly 50% of the time lately. That explains the notifications in the app about a "new cat" - I'd get 5-7lb weight notifications when both of my cats are 10-11. Footage reveals they've both decided to stick their heads and front feet in, back legs on the floor, and let loose. I didn't notice because the floor is hardwood, and it's impossible to see actual pee puddles with the lighting in that room. It's not in walking path so I guess it dried/drained between me standing near the box for periodic maintenance. Yesterday my boy cat defecated in this pose all over the floor, so that was hard to miss, but otherwise the pee snuck past me for who knows how many goes. I don't know if I'll ever get the floors restored to how they used to be, or get the stench out.In short, I'm throwing this thing out. I think if it were 6" deeper things would be better. I still don't know how people with maine coon cats are having success with this, and I'll likely never know why my rather petite cats decided to stop going fully in. It's spotless inside, and there have been no changes to litter brand or any other environmental factor. Whatever.

Excelente

Perfect, compact and easy to use
Easy set up, our cat adopted it very quickly. We couldn't use the app, because it says that it's not available in Australia. But nevertheless, we don't need it as much.

Awesome customer service! And great working litterbox
Edited review:Company contacted me after leaving the review asking me if i wanted a refund, or replacement product. Shocked to say the least. I left before 3 stars, see review below, not the worst review. However after speaking with them and explaining the problem, they sent me a new drum. And since the new drum is installed i no longer have a sticky lid. Works fine, opens normally.I in the meantime have tried out plenty of litter, and found the best one. now i no longer need to clean the whole box everytime. Its stays nice and clean, cats love it. And i love the low maintenance! Also you use waaaaayyy less litter. Very happy with purchase!Litter box works fine, cats like it. But changing the bag is a pain! The lid keeps getting stuck, trying to open it is like a 15 min job of just banging on it.The litter gets stuck in the opening of the closure, and the closure is a push button system. That when litter is stuck in it, cant be pushed to open.It drives me mad. Also 4/5day MAX with 2 cats for 1 bag change. But the whole inside drum and lid of bin needs a full lysol/bleach clean. Not a bad machine overall, except the waste bag compartment

Worth every penny!
Received very quickly less than 2 days after ordering thank you! I’ve allowed 2 weeks since receiving to review. I cannot express enough how glad I am that I bought this I was dubious about the price of electric litter boxes and did my research. This came out top of all the more realistically priced boxes. I have two young cats, one took to the litter box immediately one was terrified but after 3 days took to using it and hasnt looked back since. I helped her to transition by rewards treats and play going near the litter box then after a day stopped emptying the old litter box (stinky but worth it) and she opted for a cleaner toilet in the end. Dont rush this stage take time so cat doesn’t feel forced you dont want any accidents on the floor! The app works i havent had any issues at all and weighs my cats and i can add details and photos of them in the app so I know who used the toilet and when. The box itself is roomy enough for most cats and it is so quiet you hardly hear it.I can use ordinary composting bags or small pedal bin liners and hook handles underneath the bin so is very easy and cheap to replace the bags.I use a fine clumping well known cat litter and this works great.Odour wise it does a brilliant job of removing smells from the room obviously you are going to have some smell when in use but soon after when cycle clean kicks in the air is cleared. No more coming home from work to a stinking litter tray!I do choose to emty bin every day though as i have a strong sense of smell!I can honestly say this has changed my life and I am enjoying my cats to the full, they enjoy their litter box too and a constantly clean toilet. If you are thinking of buying one of these do not hesitate you won’t regret it!
