This is a great item if you do maintenance on your own car or bikes. The fact it not only collects your old oil but stores it until you can dispose of it is a game changer On my motorbike it’ll hold 3 oil changes no probs (I have a ZX12R) I took the large plug out and then removed what I’d call the “sump plug” catcher then the smaller plug .. no leakage or oil dripping down the sides Refit all 3 securely and wipe down the unit with rags ( I used brake cleaner too) an it’s the least messy oil change I’ve ever done If you have a sports bike that’s low, it should fit under if the bikes up on paddock stands

Used today during a service outside the house. Design is good, it feels sturdy and the various screw-in lids and stoppers work well. No leaks during transport to the local recycling centre where I emptied the contents into the big oil tank on site. My only minor criticism is that the catch bowl part is quite shallow, and oil hitting it at speed as it empties from the sump resulted in a little spill over the far side. To be fair the only way to mitigate this would be to use a wide, bowl-shaped pan instead, which you then have to mess around emptying into something else for disposal, cleaning it up etc etc. I had cardboard down to catch the spill, and some builder's Big Wipes to clean everything up so I suggest you do something similar. Overall for the money this had served it's purpose and paid for itself in a trip saved to the garage for a simple oil service. Recommended, just anticipate some mess.

Great price at the time of ordering I purchased this to catch the waste water from our motorhome when I’m not using the internal storage tank the drain tap on our motorhome is quite low so this nicely sides under it size wise it should be more than adequate for what I need.

Used it yesterday 14/04 for 1st time very happy with its performance no issues with it not keeping up with the flow of the draining oil, it also cleaned up nicely with the aid of brake cleaner

Bought this so I wouldn’t get covered in oil as I tried to direct warm used engine oil into an old gallon tub cut in half! This would have been perfect on its first use had I have know to remove BOTH the red drain screws on the top!! Only removed the one at the bottom of the sump and it quickly filled up and continued to spilled over onto my drive! 😩 I then realised, both need to be removed so that air can be displaced as it fills with the oil! Worked fine then! Lesson learned! Apart from that, great addition to my service kit!

Da ragazzino ero solito fare io stesso i tagliandi al motorino, mentre per le auto essendo in garanzia ho dovuto appoggiarmi alle concessionarie e ai loro prezzi spropositati per un cambio olio e filtro. Finito per l'appunto il periodo di garanzia ho deciso di tornare a fare la manutenzione da solo. Sono partito dalla mia moto, una Suzuki V-Strom. Ho appena finito in questo momento il tagliando, ho utilizzato questa ecotanica (è marchiata Liqui Moly ma è sempre prodotta da un'azienda italiana di alta qualità) e non ho sporcato neanche con una goccia. Basta posizionare la tanica sotto il tappo di scolo dell'olio non prima di aver aperto e tolto totalmente il tappo di plastica per lo sfiato dell'aria (altrimenti l'olio non entrerebbe mai nella tanica essendoci l'aria, è fisica elementare) e aver controllato che l'altro tappo di svuotamento sia completamente chiuso. Fatto questo si può procedere allo scolo dell'olio che, vi assicuro, gocciolerà perfettamente permettendo un lavoro pulitissimo senza neanche uno straccio di sporco. Una volta finito. Basta pulire la vaschetta di raccolta con un po' di pulitore freni e uno straccio e recarsi all'isola ecologica (mi raccomando non fate gli zozzoni incivili, l'olio inquina tantissimo!). È perfettamente riutilizzabile e la plastica è bella solida al pari di quella di cui sono fatte le taniche per i carburanti, sono contentissimo e soddisfattissimo. Questa tanica mi accompagnerà negli anni a venire di sicuro, per la sua manutenzione ordinaria basterà sostituire i tre o-ring dei tappi quando saranno usurati e non terranno più. Ottimo prodotto!
