Each of the high impedance single-ended 1/4 inch inputs is converted by a transformer into an isolated, balanced, low impedance signal output. The DUAL Z Directs audio transformers have an extremely flat and wide frequency response and can handle high signal levels. This gives the DUAL Z Direct a very clean and neutral sound with a wide variety of signal sources and over long signal runs in high noise environments. The input ATTENUATOR switches allow for a wide range of signal levels and the input THRU jacks allows for tapping off of your signal chain. The GROUND LIFT switches let you totally separate the input and output signal grounds, when appropriate, to isolate two systems, thereby reducing hum and ground-loop noise. What further sets the DUAL Z Direct apart from other 'DI' boxes are its extended features and versatility. We have added switchable low pass FILTERs that cut out all very high frequency interference. It does not affect volume/sound levels. It seems that you need a mixer. A mixer brings various sound inputs together and outputs one sound mix. Each input needs a channel. You will need to determine how many inputs you want at one time and buy a mixer with sufficient input channels. You will adjust the volume of each channel to mix the volume for equal or unequal volumes. Mixer inputs will be either guitar style or mic (xlr) style. You will need to research the cable connectors you need for the various devices. Consider a Yamaha MG6 mixer as a starting point.
