There are two different strengths. The more concentrated mixture usually has a silver bar (with varying words) across the center of the label but that's just my observation, not guaranteed. The strength ratio is odd: stronger is 2.66 times normal and is more economical.For THIS product, you should add 1 ounce for every 6 gallons of fuel, stated on the label. The label also states that adding too much is not harmful.

Can you add this to the gas can that may sit unused for months?

We’ll you could. However, I would not use any gas that has been stored for several months. I recommend only get what you will use in a couple of months and not store unused gas for several months

Should you pour it into a tank with fuel in it? I know ideally you should use it before a fill-up but if my car is sitting with gas in the tank, will

Depends on the configuration of your gas tank and the fuel filler neck. If it makes a lot of turns all the product might not reach the tank and would be suspended in the filler neck. In the situation you describe I would mix the Star Tron in a small 1 or 2 gallon container with gas and pour the entire contents into your tank.
