I'm using it at the moment and have Matthews stands as well. I would say they are pretty comparable for the most part. The flashpoint one has a few benefits I like: it comes with the baby pin (Matthews doesn't), the riser is spring cushioned (the Matthews doesn't have any cushioning), and the boom has screw adapters at each end although I would have to check to get the exact size (Matthews booms don't have this. All that being said, the Matthews also have some benefits: the turtle base seems more sturdy and feel like it will last longer (time will tell), the clamps feel like they are made of a harder aluminum and are a bit more robust.
