The Autism Discussion Page blue book focuses on the core challenges associated with autism (cognitive, sensory, social, and emotional) and provides concise, accessible information and simple tools for supporting children with these vulnerabilities. Based on posts on the popular online community page and organised by subject for ease of reference, this book offers an excellent understanding of how children with autism process and experience the world and effective strategies for coping with the challenges. Review: Informative - This is informative and a valuable addition to any parent or carer's toolkit if navigating the uncertain territory of autism. Short and pithy 'chapters' get to the point and the book can be read in any order. Admittedly much of the contents can be found on the group's facebook page but this is well worth purchasing to have 1) the content printed and collated in an indexed format and 2) because this is just easier to use than a facebook search. There are other titles in the series which I will be looking to purchase in the future. Review: Great content, usable strategies - I find these books ( I have both blue and green) very useful in terms of offering both understanding and strategies to support my children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. I've bought and read a number of books about ASD and confidently say that Nason usually is a very good advocate for the child with autism, with his focus on helping others understand the behaviours and communication rather than on eradicating behaviours deemed unacceptable by neurotypical people. The books have a useful section at the back filled with checklists and charts etc that help you record and profile some of the characteristics of your own child with autism. This I found very useful because, as any parent or carer of an autistic child will tell you, there are far few tools available to you through the educational and medical channels.

Best books there are on ASD
Many books on autism are hard-going reading, and I've ditched many part-way. These are totally different and are laid out perfectly. You can just dip in and out, using it as a reference book for specific advice, reading only what is relevant to you at the time. You don't have to plough your way through the whole thing to benefit or for it to make sense. A MUST for any parents of ASD kids and all school teachers should be made to read these too, as so many could learn a lot about engaging with our amazing kids on the spectrum. Highly recommend buying these and keeping them handy as each day can bring new challenges and the advice is spot on and invaluable.

Wonderful Author
I have met Bill personally as I am very fortunate to live in the area where he has a practice. My son was coached by him in soccer. His wealth of knowledge on the subject is vast but more importantly, he values and cares about the kids. He truly wants what is best for them and for us as parents. I first started following him on his Facebook group in the early days. I remember thinking I wish I could remember all of these great points. I started copying and pasting them into Word so I could go back when I had more time. I was so happy to see when he planned on the book where everything would be in one place! He is well deserving of any praise. These books are wonderfully reasonable in price so all can access the helpful advice. Don't hesitate to order.

A Must Read for the Autism World
I've read this book and the green one from front to back. I have post it tabs and notes and highlighted sections throughout. There is so much valuable information on each page in an easy to read, easy to understand format! I have learned so much about the brain of my autistic grandson and the way he processes (or doesn't) information from the world around him. I recommend this book as well as the green edition for anyone looking for understanding and support about the autistic world. These books have helped me tremendously in preventing many meltdowns and have given me not just knowledge but strength in dealing with everyday issues. I am purchasing more for the therapists who help with my grandson.
