Hard brittle flint
This is not 'soft creamy paste wax' that can be applied with a cloth. It is solid hard brittle flakes like flint that need to be melted down and applied with a professional electric buffing wheel.

Excellent product. I've used a bunch already to melt down into bars for friction polishing, and finished some wood bowls with it. Very happy with the results. Make a very durable, shiny, hard wax finish. Smells good too. I think it should come in a sturdier mylar bag though, because the paper punctures easily, and it shouldn't be exposed to light.
