Great B&O build quality and a depth of sound hard ...
Great B&O build quality and a depth of sound hard to match. Very long battery life and practical design and I liked the carrying strap in particular. Suitable for all types of music with great depth of sound including very impressive bass and clear mid tones and treble. Charges quickly and lasts up to 20 hours of use. Easy to connect with simple bluetooth pairing or direct connection. My only concern is the stability of the unit - it has to be played standing up and if jolted at all it falls over or off the unit it is standing on. Be warned - put it somewhere it can't fall off!! If using outdoors or in a humid or damp environment, the Active version is essential as it is dust and moisture resistant. Highly recommended speaker and although the price puts it in the expensive category once the pain of buying it fades the quality will last and you will not regret the purchase.

Superior Sound quality
I was hesitant to buy this speaker because of the negative feedback regarding battery life. I took the risk and bought it. The sound quality is far above any of other speakers I tested. I listen to classic music and it is very vivid sound and very natural. Battery life about 8 hours if you using it on moderate volume up to %60. I do not know if it lasts longer or less if you using it for loud party occasions.very pleased and I recommend it.

Battery Issues Really let this down
I tried one of these in the Apple store and was pleasantly surprised, the sound quality was rather good, especially given the small size and slim nature of the unit. I saw one on Amazon and at the price thought it was a no brainer, so ordered one. It arrived as always at Amazon speed so that was brilliant. I tried it and it was almost as good as in the store but then the volume dropped. Turns out this is part of the design, as when the battery gets low it ‘conserves’ power so drops the volume to nearly audible. So I plugged it in to an Apple charger, and it commences charging. But the volume doesn’t increase for ages and ages, repeatly dropping again. So I thought perhaps give it a few cycles of use and discharge, then charging. But it is a major issue, today whilst in the kitchen at a fair but not excessive volume after not even 80 minutes it dropped. I have sent it back and will stick to my Bose Sound Link lll (much better than the mini!) which sounds awesome and when fully charged still lasts most of the day.All in all quite disappointed and glad I didn’t pay three hundred quid on it.

Fantastic sound, rubbish battery
Best sound bluetooth speaker I tried ( I also tried Bose revolve, Beoplay A1, Sonos), specially shines where several instruments are on the set, like orchestras, and also in acoustic musics. I mean, the sound and loudness is fantastic even when compared with small bookshelf speakers. The fact you cannot.make calls is a nuisamce bur I can live with that. What could be a deal breaker is battery life. Less than an hour if you listen at max volume and even with charger on ot doesn't make a difference. I tend to play at 66% and lasts about 5 or 6 hours. At 60% volume, the charger will work, but not if over that. O rated 4 stars as for £120 I paid for, it's a steal. Piece of advice, buy an aftermarket battery if you need, there are plenty out there.

Great sound and value.....
Impressive sound for a small unit, I got this to replace my denon envaya that had given up the ghost, I've had bose and b&o Bluetooth speakers before and this is the best one yet upon first impressions, deep rich sound with big bass which I like on small portable speakers, I feel it creates a bigger sound, I have a naim muso 2 as my static speaker at home which is more evenly balanced, I gotta say for £120 I doubt you'd find a better option.....

Abysmal battery life
Looks great, very easy to use and sounds good for it's size. The major disappointment, and the main reason for me choosing it is the battery life, at normal listening volume (around half) the battery lasts just under 45 minutes, the quoted 24 hour battery life must be based on whisper quiet volume, such a shame for an otherwise excellent product...

At this price it's a steal!
So happy with it I bought another. Sound quality is excellent for its size, and at this price it's a steal. You will not be disappointed, except for the battery life at high volume does drain it.

Beware of the battery life claims
I did a fair amount of research before buying this item but sadly it wasn't enough. The claims were true, except 1. Its an outstanding speaker for design, portability, sound quality and build. However the battery life in day to day use makes it pointless. I've had it now for over a year and love using it, but I have to plan in advance when that will be. Let me explain......Charging the speaker from a well powered source takes maybe 2 hours. All good but here's the problems. If you don't use the speaker it will only hold its charge for maybe a week before it's flat. I've got other speakers from quality brands and they don't suffer from this. Even if you use it after a couple of days it's battery is significantly drained and doesn't last long.OK, so it's fully charged and running on just battery. You crank it up. Don't expect more than 90 mins of usage. Lower the volume and the longevity obviously goes up. To hit the 24 hour claims you need to have it very low compared to its max, but it will go for 24 hours if you use it all at once in a low setting. So now you try to use it while plugged into a good power source and cranked up. At best you'll get maybe 4 hours before the volume automatically turns itself down to save batter life. You then wait for an hour or 2 before you turn it up and then rinse and repeat. There will be some that never want to turn a B&O speaker up to enjoy the premium price they've paid and they will be the ones who have no issue with any of the above. For everyone else who thinks like me and wants to enjoy the spend, plan ahead and be moderate with your expectations or you will be woefully disappointed.Such a shame the battery life makes this speaker so situational. B&O you can do much better than this!
