Shoulder pocket is good for medical equipment, or a baofeng UV5R with 3800mah battery. All the pockets have velcro all pouches with clips have a velcro cover for "stealth". The map pouch is the size as the entire panel, it is comfortable as is but I put a shemaugh in there for storage and extra padding with full mags. The large pckets have a pocket behind them that can fit a small write in the rain note book. I attached a Alice compass pouch to the shoulder strap as well as a small multi tool pouch. Works well for what it is Super comfortable and decently light though it is made out of heavy duty Canvas material. Get some ranger bands or electrical tape and tie of the straps and you have an amazing kit.
