This as others have said can smell a little if used too long or on too thick a food source. But if you give it a rest for a quarter of an hour or dilute the food stuff then this is not the case.I'm surprised I have not killed this in a year of use. I normally manage this as cook a lot with stick blenders especially mayonnaise which needs a lot of blending to get nice and airy and thick.So I recommend this with one warning. That you ensure after washing you push and pull the metal blade pole to allow water to drain out as this is the main problem area with this blender.

This a really great blender for smaller things mainly slightly solid to liquid products. The only thing I would say is that it doesn't have a guard to make sure you pump it in an out of the product you want to blend or you'll get covered in it lol. Good value for money that's for sure.

I bought this based on the excellent reviews and the claim that it's easy to clean. It's true that it is detachable and therefore the blade end is able to be washed up, however it is actually impossible to clean the core/centre of the mixer which is hollow and open at the detachable point (see photos). I've tried 4 different types of bottle brush, and a dishwasher, and nothing can clean this inner part which has started to show signs of build up and mould.Would not recommend for this reason. Otherwise it was a good bit of kit!
